Its a nice chip, but without the ability to swap out batteries can be a deal breaker for me... I would have to charge the dna 200 at least twice a day and leave it overnight to meet my vaping needs...

Until they come out with a swappable option (3x 18650).. I might have to opt for the cloudmaker sx mod or snow wolf... Jus my opinion tho...

I think you'll see at least a few options you can actually get your hands on by early fall and by winter likely a slew. It's still too new but several manufacturers have already said they are ramping up.

I'm in the same boat. I go through 3 18650s a day.

I held out as long as I could.....I just made my 1st order of titanium wire, 26 gauge from Etsy

I haven't used Kanthal or Ni200 in months.
Compare the numbers in the default "custom" setting in EScribe (some have said it is Ti1) with the .csv from Steam Engine Ti, I thought I saw a difference.

I read somewhere in the DNA200 FAQ that they're considering making it run on a single cell as well (obviously lowering the max wattage).
This would be brilliant! 200W for those who want to use it as a BBQ and regular wattage for those of us who care about battery life and want a more flexible battery choice.

Good, bet you gonna love it.

Question regarding lipo charging.
Is it ok to charge these things whenever you near a usb or is it better to run the flat completly?
Will this have any impact on their total lifespan?
It is fine, probably better to never fully drain or fully charge for battery lifespan.

Most of the mods I have seen build can have a battery swap. I assume you are gearing your objection to the retail offering?

So far not impressed with the battery options for dna200, i blow thru 6x 18650s a day... Thats close to 15,000 total mahs, of course i dont drain it completely (down to 3.70 usually) Compared to a 1300 3s lipo (3900mah supposedly) its nothing... I wont even make it past 12pm without charging it already

And Yes i know they are swappable but how are you going to charge it externally ? So that defeats the purpose of the swap, its a bigger hassle than 18650s simply because u need to eventually put it back in to recharge it

Hoping for a 3x 18650 dna mod :), if not maybe i will get it anyway :)

Just tried a dual coil dripper Origen V3 clone 7 wraps of twisted 0.25 mm Ni200 3 mm [HASHTAG]#500[/HASHTAG] mesh wicks 0.05 ohm, no pulsing at all and vaping nicely @ 45 W 400 F. Best flavour I have ever had from a dripper, but I like ss wicks so no surprise there YMMV.

I thought the same about 18650s, but 950 mAh Lipo is about the runtime of 1.5 25Rs for me around 31-36 W higher wattages the difference should be a little more and you can charge them out of the case if you like just buy the right charger and leads.

6 18650's on a mech or VW? I'm assuming a mech since it would be silly to replace a battery at 3.7v on a VW. At 3.7v, you're not using even half the battery capacity.

You can buy a charger for lipos. They're not that expensive.

Only $6.96
Cheaper than a Li-ion charger and it does balanced charging!

I would also look at your builds or a different mod. Going thru 6 batteries in a day is silly.

*edit* Just saw the Sigelei uses a Yihi chip. No wonder "change batteries if they go below 3.7v".
Well i can change much lower, like 56-60% which equates to about 3.62 on the charger, 66-70% is around 3.74

Im vaping 35watts with .5ohm coils... Nothing wrong with it, i jus pull way too much

Of coarse there's two ways this can be and one of them is to use my Opus very little but that is not the case here. Since getting my Opus it has never had the battery below 12.1 volts.
Which ultimately means I have no idea how well the battery in it compares to a DNA 40 with a single 18650 used at the same wattage but if I were to guess I'd say about the same.
