With 3s battery(high c-rating and higher voltage), just think of it as triple the capacity, in simplistic terms. This thread has exploded since it started, so it may be hard to find all the different points of conversation and argument in here.

OK fair enough, I stand corrected. I do really think that Evolv should mention that - surely it will be a common misunderstanding for anyone not familiar with it. Maybe "1000mah (generally equivalent to 3000mah from standard LiCo)" or whatever is the case.

The Watt hour rating would be more appropriate in this circumstance. Sorry for leaving that out of my post.

Innokin has rated their lipo differently, ever since the mvp. It will be closer to the 2,000 where used to.

Ahh gotcha, thanks. So a 1000mah 3s Lipo is in effect not much different to 3x 1000mah series 18650s, just it's wired together in a single (more compact) package. (And Lipo behaves differently I'm sure - but the principle is the same?)

I think it depends on whether it's a 1,2 or 3 cell LiPo

A single cell lipo will have a slightly better life then comparable mah 18650, but not as significant of a difference as a 3s pack

The principle is the same, but add to that the flatter output curve of a lipo vs the steep battery lag of an 18650 as voltage drops and it gets even better

From other pics I've seen, it looks like an alloy.

I'm on the fence about getting just the chip since I don't have an enclosure for it. I'll probably end up getting one anyway . I'm definitely getting the VS DNA200 though.

Can i ask what's going on inside the beta to allow for USB charging of the lipo? Right now to charge my sx350j 2c lipo I have to plug it info a bulky RC balance charger to charge it @ 1v. If I could Utilize a usb wall charger I'd be thrilled
