Does anyone have any idea if the VS' battery is gonna be user serviceable? Is the Opus or not really?
Since all commercial dna 200 devices are going to be using lipo I guess if you could swap it instead of having to send it back when it dies out would be a plus

They should all be. The Opus is just annoying because you have to unscrew the battery cover (really now? It's 2015 ffs).
That would be dependent on how far off the face you mounted the chip. Most buttons I have seen have been part of the design for the mounting system.
Busario has pics of Opus with cover off & battery looks serviceable but really tight to the 510.

By the time the battery goes, warranty will most likely be up anyways, so swapping lipos would be better then trashing the mod 
If soldered to the board, you could cut those lines and attach a connector to them for easier future swaps

What is this pre-release and early adopters forum all about. I thought it was already beta tested.
I don't know of a pre-release forum. The early adopters are mod builders that adopt the chip earlier than others and the forum is a place for them to share information as they produce a produce. Beta test then release then a forum for early adopters.
