Looks like Apple user are screwed. The manual says it installs on Windows computers.

Apple users were screwed since the day they bought an Apple computer if you are expecting PC software to be ported immediately to the OSX platform. With a market share of about 8.2% currently, it's unrealistic to expect anything else.

Before you call me a hater, I've owned Macs since 1984 (and still own and use them), but I also have PC's and just am more realistic about what to expect from a niche market platform. Nothing wrong with Macs except not enough users to be relevant for many software manufacturers. It would take a much larger installed user base for that to happen. But if you own a Mac you already know this, so no use whining about your platform choice.

Mac users in general (I have both PC's And Macs, Like you since 84) dont geek out as much as some PC heads so I doubt they go for a dna 200W anyhow.

And to be honest, I don't see the ability to be able to micromanage your vape as being a huge selling point to Joe Vaper down the block.

Considering how hipster vaping is becoming it's kinda silly not to support Mac though.

Sounds like a biggie to me!

Duane

Fortunately my definition of 'mod' is somewhat loose. If I can have three batteries and a chip and a 510 wired together, it's good. Doesn't need to be portable. Doesn't technically even need a case.

In fact maybe I should forget the batteries and look at a 12V power supply to start with. That'd be a lot easier.

I do need a better soldering iron, that's for sure.

It was released this morning at cloud9vaping and stealthvape.

Regards
Tony

Sent from my keyboard through my phone or something like that.

Not sure about Cloud 9 but although Stealth Vape had it on their site for the last 24 hours or so, it was Out Of Stock until tonight. They notified as In Stock about 20 minutes ago. I was on their Notify list since last night but didn't get the email until 20:12 tonight.

Ah just see Cloud9 did release it for sale but then pulled it again and it's still pulled from there because of them not knowing how to do the pre-sale FW upgrade required. Hopefully this means Stealth do now how to do it, or at least expect to know before they ship on Monday!

The good news is that the software will tell you that your chip is hungry for an upgrade and do it for you....no worries. I don't understand why Cloud 9 was told to hold until the upgrade was done. Evolv now can do what SXM can do.

I guess it has big bugs or missing promised features and Evolv want to ensure it goes out the door completely up-to-date - makes sense, I wouldn't want to distribute a chip requiring a day 1 FW upgrade if it could be avoided.

admittedly it's quite different for the bare chip sales, anyone building a mod with a chip is not afraid of FW updates. Very different to a packaged mod. But I guess out of principle they want to ensure it's updated immediately - maybe there's even a major bug fix in that update.
