Big is the way to go. In fact, a portable nuclear reactor is really the only right choice, if one is orthodoxMotorcycle batteries are smaller.

Apple users were screwed since the day they bought an Apple computer if you are expecting PC software to be ported immediately to the OSX platform. With a market share of about 8.2% currently, it's unrealistic to expect anything else.
Before you call me a hater, I've owned Macs since 1984 (and still own and use them), but I also have PC's and just am more realistic about what to expect from a niche market platform. Nothing wrong with Macs except not enough users to be relevant for many software manufacturers. It would take a much larger installed user base for that to happen. But if you own a Mac you already know this, so no use whining about your platform choice.
I have a difficult time believing that anyone who got a mac understood what they were getting intoNo one is whining, it was just an observation. I have a Windows computer with a Linux partition,,,whatever comes my way I will surely be able to run. I was just letting anyone that was hoping to use Escribe on a Mac know that they were SOL.
I do agree that if you own a Mac, you most likely knew going into that purchase that there would be a lot of software your computer could not support, so whining would indeed be ridiculous.
Im thinking more along these lines.
Lithium Pros L3400, Lithium Pros 12-Volt Lithium Batteries | Lithium Pros
589 Watt hours should do the job.
Hipsters have windows phone so they can probably still update.Considering how hipster vaping is becoming it's kinda silly not to support Mac though.
Screw it, I'll just wire my whole house into that!
Anyway, more seriously, I think I'm just going 3S. First I thought 3x18650, but frankly why use three of my normal batteries plus a new tray when I can just get a single compact Lipo. The Lipo is so cheap it's probably little more than a 3xserial tray anyway.
Who cares about hipsters.Hipsters have windows phone so they can probably still update.
Bloke:
Are you gonna make it portable in a proper box etc. or is it going to be experimental only for now? If it's portable it will be interesting to hear what you use for a box and 3s.

The Evolv DNA200 modders board has arrived
And they really are available now!
We're very sorry if you received this message earlier today and then visited the site only to find the DNA200 pulled from sale. Evolv made the software available to update the firmware and we pulled a late one to get these ready for you. We think you will really enjoy the Escribe software and the ability to change many of the settings on this board. This truly is innovation in vaping technology.
I'm sitting here with my Cloudmakers bookmark in the most prominent place on the computer. I have followed them for a long time and I really like their approach. I sorta feel a responsibility to support them for all the anticipatory pleasure I've had already. Also..if you do the DNA 200 you will be assured of a replaceable battery pack which for me at least would be an absolute requirement for a DNA 200.My first thought was not portable, just to get it up and running as fast and easily as possible. But now I see how cheap and easy a small lipo is, I think I'll at least have a go at getting a box up. No idea what one yet, I need to look around. Literally whatever looks easiest.
As soon as I can place an order for a professionally made DNA 200 I am going to do so. Quite possibly the Cloudmaker Whiteout which is potentially going to be released next Wednesday, on July 1st.
So this is just meant to be for quick/early experimentation, and a portable box is optional. But even if I just use it on my desk I don't want it all hanging out to get damaged, so even for experimentation some kind of box will be preferable![]()
Looks like Apple user are screwed. The manual says it installs on Windows computers.

I have one of their first 500 discounts but they haven't said how low the $ will go with that. Don't tell anyone but it really doesn't matter all that much to me. I WANT ONE. I'll just quit eating for a while to pay for it if I have to.

Na. Just going to fire up a virtual machine and get to work.
