So you're basically saying the health of vapers who use Mac or another platform is less important.
Oh c'mon. This is getting ridiculous.
I used Mac's, I used Linux and I used Windows. Every idiot can figure out in less than 5 minutes how to run a Win program on the other systems (like MANY other people already posted here).
And like already posted, too. You're just clinging on straws to bash Evolv (no - I'm not a "fanboy") because they didn't want your childish nephews help. You don't even get how you embarras yourself here.

......mit. Has this forum a user ignore function?

EDIT: Someone please give me a heads-up when this Mac vs PC discussion is over and the thread is about the DNA200 chip again? Thank you.

Has this forum a user ignore function?

Just click on their user name and in the pop-up is a link to "Ignore" them.

Or just don't read their posts or respond to them, they'll go away eventually if no-one plays with them ...

Here's the last post by my nephew on the Evolv forum and I think that sums it pretty well.

From what I know from what my nephew told me, remote working is perfectly normal in software development and only amateurs are this .... about wanting to do everything in house.
There is a big difference in the size, and type, of those companies from Evolv.... And even those companies have in house (auto spell wanted on horse for some reason.... Guess I type horse too much :p) only stuff going on.

How do you make that leap? Will this board not work even without the extra pc software? Are there not a plethora of mods out there, that work just fine without any computer needed, nor useable?

Finally caught up on this thread, well what I could read that wasn't moderated, lot of bickering in the middle, not sure it was worth it, but I did it. Latest nonsense topic about a OS X port is particularly pointless, and without basis.

edit (particularly pointless, and without basis because hipsters with Macs wouldn't use a DNA200 anyway; it wouldn't fit in their skinny jeans, ba dum tsss).

Oh gee, mine arrives on Wednesday and I can't maybe "safely" use it at work because it's not tethered to a PC.
Whoa is me.

C'mon man, keep it together, deep breaths. You will work through it. I'm with ya buddy! lol! At least it wont be literally tethered to a PC a la @TheBloke 's creation!!!

I hope @TheBloke didn't blow himself up or get kidnapped by Chinese clone maker's. Maybe he went out for a couple of pints and got lucky or something.
Maybe SXK made him an offer he couldnt refuse and he is the new chinese TP vaping baron!!!

Except for initially checking it out I doubt if I will be using the software much. It will be charged via PC USB but that's about it.
Firmware upgrades by PC is of interest of coarse.
If you charge by PC, make sure you have a newer PC with updated USB ports for 1a charging or USB 3.0 ports.

I understand that's what's recommended and at work that's what I'll use but other than slower what would be the difference?
So unless you can tell it to charge or not charge one would need USB 3.0 to just use the software then.

No difference, it's just slllllooooowwwwww. Charging a 1000mah battery will take 6 hrs on an older USB port (500ma). The spec changed in '11 so most PC's should be fine unless it's a budget PC and they're using the old USB specs. USB 3.0 definitely has the newer specs (up to 2a). The DNA200 uses a 1a charger onboard.

I'm not sure want atty I'll be starting out with the 200d though probably a TGT II but I just have a hard time thinking things coud get much better than the vape I get with my DIY DNA 40 squonker flask with a v1 Nuppin'
I guess I'll have to buy some more atties.
But dual 28 gauge ni coils is coming my way, maybe even 26 gauge but unlikely unless Ti.
