It is a board, not a chip. The board has chips, and other components on it.

A bunch of the stuff on the board is probably OK but the skill to replace the stuff is quite high. Then there are probably components on the board that may be hard to impossible to find.

A little lower on the skill level would be to buy a new board from Evolve, unsolder the ruined one, and solder the new one in. It would be like building a mod yourself except someone else got all the parts and cut the wire to length.

Unsoldering and soldering the board back in might be a problem in a tight space. It might be easier in total to take more of it apart to make an easier job of the soldering.
