This is the correct tried and tested method.

Wire from the negative side of the FIRE switch to the LED then 1N4148 switching diode then GRND or B-

Of course I want an illuminated switch, which switch is that?

Hi sorry i have been trying to get the light on my dna30 to light up. I'm doing a conversion to dna40 but unsure how to get that light working.
Sorry to be a pain but can you elaborate a bit more as i dont want to damage anything. I have the diode etc aswell. Someone else told me to do this too. Unsure how
