seems like its the atty and not the wire. is the positive post making connection? or maybe a short in the rda itself, insulators maybe? make sure the positive post is insulated from the negative, the screws are making connection, if all that doesnt work maybe try cleaning it and scrubbing it all with a toothbrush especially the holes in the center post and screws. If that doesnt work I dont know

Yeah, like alice said, try making sure the post is contacting. Sometimes the port on your mod can have a lower post than what you are testing with/other mods. With a lot of mods the fix for this is as simple as carefully (CAREFULLY!) prying up the center post with a small screwdriver. If your rda (not familiar with the derringer) has an adjustable post, fiddle with this a bit until you get contact.

if it is not the center post connecting though, i wouldnt use the atomizer tbh, cuz if its not the center post then you have a short circuit somewhere and it could possibly happen again while on a mod if you dont specifically know what exactly is causing it. If its not the center pin connection, it could be the center pin shorting the surrounding metal.
