I know a lot of brands inform you not to drip. I generally smoke cartomizers when im on the go, but when i am sitting still for a while, i perfer to drip for the purpose of conservation and because the flavor and throat hit is great. I recently tried some Johnson creek swiss dark chocolate juice and it killed my 902 atomizer. (same as the 510) Are there certain brands of juice that we just shouldnt drip? I have tried a lot of dekang and modern vapor juices and none of them seem to do any damage. Although i havent tried any of there darker juices. I have tended to notice that some brands like Gourmet vapor tend to have a lingering flavor afterwards. the more robust flavors like coffee (which is a dark color) seems to stay on the atty for quite a while and im worried about clogging or breaking it while dripping. any opinions or suggestions from experienced drippers? thanks

As long as you don't flood it, dripping should be no riskier for the atty than a cart. I'm a dripper, and my atomizers actually seem to die at a slower rate than most of this forum. That said, though, you're right in thinking that some fluids are rougher on attys than others. In my personal experiences, it seems that fluids that are either thicker, and/or have greater amounts of VG in them, tend to be rougher on my atomizers. Dekang and, to my knowledge, Modern Vapor are 100% PG, which correlates with your experiences. You can avoid some of this strain from VG juices by cleaning the atomizer at least semi-regularly, to avoid a buildup of corroded e-juice and gunk. There are many effective cleaning strategies posted on this forum, but I use the denture cleaner method: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-510-cleaning-denture-cleaner-w-pictures.html

Also, note that some atomizers are simply more prone to failure than others. It's hard to say, but it's entirely possible that the atomizers dying on you was simply a coincidence.
