Drip tips can be used for dropping a few drops of juice directly onto an attomizer, and vaping it from there. You don't need one to vape. I don't drip often, but I do like drip tips because it makes refilling my cartomizers easier. I wouldn't suggest just making an order to buy them, but I would suggest that if you buy something from a company, and they have them, give them a try. I keep one on all my current cartos!

I use an empty cart as a drip tip. Dripping is when you drop a few drops of liquid on the atomizer and vape. You can use an empty cart and it works just fine. You might have gotten an empty cart with your kit; I did. If not you can buy a drip tip or just take the filler material out of one of the carts with some tweezers.

I'm hearing we need drip tips! Basically, they replace the cartridge (at the top of your 510) with a hollow mouthpiece that allows you to drip a couple drops on the atomizer without having to remove a cartridge. Basically, cuts out a step and makes things easier for drippers.

I haven't gotten one as of yet as I still feel sketchy if I am at a bar or a club etc. pulling out a bottle and dripping. When I'm at home I just remove the cartridge and drip! Have fun vaping!

If you would like to try dripping and not buy a drip tip yet, use a blank cartridge with no filler inside. Drop about 3 drops of juice on your atty, and place the cartridge back on to vape. It's a bit annoying because you have to pull the cart off every time you drip. With a drip tip you can drip right thru the hole without removing the tip. Try it before you buy one. You may not like it. Be careful not to flood the atty by dripping too many drops and the 510 should stand vertically to prevent leakage.

I sit at a desk most of the day. After my very first week of vaping, I bought a 5-pack of drip tips for $7.99, which should last me all year. See Drip Tip for Joye 510 / eGo - 5 pack. I found that dripping 3 drops on the atomizer every twenty puffs or so is the most hassle-free way to enjoy the experience and not have to fiddle with the device, except to change or recharge batteries. As for some of the other alternatives, I mean, really, who wants to mess around refilling with syringes anyway? That's too much like a junkie in my humble view.

I use drip tips. I was dripping and using a cart, kind of a pain always taking off the cart to drip. Drip tip so much easier, only about 3 drips though or you'll flood the atty. I get 8-10 good drags off of 3 drips, which was about as much as 1 analog, but we don't smoke them anymore do we my precious, no, no we don't...........luv gollum:pop:, but I digress. I wouldn't put in a special order just for tips, add them to another of your orders.

Exactly! I've got carts dialed in pretty much to to the point that I can get em to last a good half hour. Dripping is as close as I want to get to hard core drug user...

+1 to the above.

Also, with a drip-tip you don't have to muck around with fillers that leak or taste like burning. Just pure, sweet flavour.

You don't need a drip tip. You can make do with something else that does the same thing. But you do need to try dripping in one form or another.

Why wait to combine orders when you can get even one lonely drip tip, with no shipping charges, for a grand total of $1.99? See Drip Tip for Joye 510 / eGo.

You also can make something else work as a drip tip (I saw a gal on YouTube going through all kinds of effort--using a drill, etc.--to make a drip tip out of a part), but why bother given the extremely low prices of drip tips?

How does it make refilling your cartos easier? I've just started and I fill a cartos condom halfway with juice and push the juice into the cartos.

Those cartos that have the soft end cap? you just pop that cap off and put a drip tip on there, then you don't have to fill up a bunch of cartos and carry them around with you because you can just drip liquid right into it wherever you are -- it soaks in and you are good to go for as long as your carto lasts. It's just preference.

I have the Joye 510 atomizer with carts, how do I go about simply dripping. I've watched videos but I'm a little confused. From what I saw you take the cotton out ouf the cart do about four drops on the bottom, replace the cotton and put 2-3 drops on the cotton til it looks slushy, and then moisten the atomizer. Is this the correct way to drip?

No, that's just called "topping off". That way you are still just using carts. Here's how to try dripping (without a drip tip):

* remove a cart and empty all the fluff out of it so it's just empty inside (just a mouthpiece)
* put 2-3 drops of e-juice right onto the bridge of your atomizer (the mesh hump that sticks up the middle)
* put the empty cart back on and vape

You can get between 5-10 drags before the vapor lessens and the flavor drops off, then you have to do it again. With a drip tip, the hole at the end is big enough that you don't have to keep taking it off in order to drip e-juice in there, that's all that is.

But this is the right way to top off your cart. Although, if you mod it to use "marineland rite-size U" aquarium filter (aka blue foam mod) instead of the fluff-stuff that comes with your carts then you can put more juice in and it wicks better and uses up more of the liquid so there's not so much left (equals having to top off less often).
