I got my UU manual kit on January 2 and have not had an analog since I plugged in the PT...included with the kit were two batteries....my wife is using one and I am using the other...

I keeping reading that batteries fail....how soon do they fail? I sure do NOT want to be in a position that I have no back-up....'

The PT is acting up a little and I will be asking for a replacement and will apply super glue as soon as it arrives.

So, do I need to have back-up batteries?

Thanks in advance

BTW....I've been smoking 1.5 packs a day for 55 years....this is nothing short of a miracle...

They should be good for at least a few months, but they can be damaged if dropped, and occasionally one will fail for any number of reasons (faulty switch on a manual, or juice leaked into an auto from an overfilled carto). So it never hurts to have a couple of spares. You'll likely get one as a freebie from time to time, always a welcome sight in the package.

Congrats to you - glad to hear it's working! It is pretty darned miraculous!

All e-cig products are "disposable" You need back up! Also if you drive a lot a spare passthru for the car is a good idea. (you will need a car adapter).
There is the problem of user mishaps..like dropping your E-cig on a hard floor, in the toilet (don't laugh..ok laugh..but it has happened!) trying to knock the ash off and dropping it out the window of a moving car, dog chewing, cat batting, lost batts due to forgetting where one leaves it on and on..yeah get a backup or 6.:)

Welcome to the family!

Isn't it great? I mean, when have you ever seen anyone post that an "approved" NRT product worked like this? Never. Vapor for life, indeed :)

Yeah, plan on getting some backup batteries, his-n-hers passthru's, and plenty of carts - you won't be spending that money on nasty cigarettes ever again!

MK - which brand of car adapter do you use? V4L? I got a V4L car adapter with my kit and my V4L PT will not work with it. There's a separate thread about it in this subforum, where people have the same problem I do.

There is one that is a charger, reg looking like we are all used to seeing. Then there is an adapter/a usb car adapter. It plugs into your car from one end and the other end has the flat usb entrance, for the uu kits. Anything usb ported will plug into it!

I have the item in the accessories page.

Vapor4Life- Electronic Cigarette: Vapor King Charger

I know my V4L PT doesn't work with it. Don't know if it will charge batteries, haven't tried that.

It's either the adapter that doesn't work or my PT doesn't work.

That's the right one. It was in a little clear plastic bag when you got it, right?

If the red LED doesn't light up when you plug it into your car, you may have a blown fuse.
