Do LR cartos work with eGo type 900-1100mah batteries?

I had a weird and scary thing happen to me tonight, I had a 650mah eGo type battery on the charger and it heated to the point that the charger melted. If I hadn't caught it when I did it would have caught fire. Until now I have never had any issues with either, they were sold in a "starter kit" together.

Anyway... I'm now short a battery and charger, so I'm thinking about buying a new kit. I was mostly content with the eGo 650mah, so I'm thinking about sticking with something similar and just bumping up to 900-1100mah batteries so I don't need to charge as often. I just want to make sure I can continue using LR dual coil cartos and whatnot with them.

I'm also looking for suggestions as to what kit I should buy, again I think I would prefer an eGo/Riva type, also I'm a cheap SOB, but I don't want to throw these away in a month either (or have them cause my house to burn down).

As always thanks for the help and suggestions.

Scary stuff with the charger! So glad no major damage such as a fire happened.

I just purchased the Ego 1100 mah batts and only use LR cartos on it. Works perfect! I seem to get 7-8 hours before I notice a drop off in batt performance. But I am also batt sensitive and notice a drop in power really quickly.

I vote go for the ego 1100 batts. Got mine at Cignot and they are great to work with!
