Do mods ever wear out?

I have the aegis mini. I can't tell you how many years I have had it, but it is definitely more than 5 years old. Lately it just doesn't seem to be functioning right. There seems to be a lot of gurgling like the coil is flooded even when I haven't vaped for a few hours or when I just put a new coil in it a week ago (and my coils can last for 3 to 4 weeks before I have to replace them). My read out panel says my battery is halfway to needing recharging but I barely get anything out of it like when it does need to be recharged. There has also been a couple of times where it was turned off but I didn't turn it off. I know that nothing lasts forever and things do wear out over time and with extended use. Do mods ever wear out? I am beginning to think that I need to get a new mod. Does anyone have suggestions on a good reliable replacement for it that is very much like it?

Extra info: Aegis Mini with a Cerberus Tank and a 18650 2500mah 3.7v battery. I used the supermesh 0.2ohm coils. I had to replace the tank a few months ago because the seals wore out. I couldn't find a replacement for the seals and I was tired of all the juice leakage so I got a zeus nano 2.5ml tank with the top airflow that uses boost 0.4ohm coils.
The batteries were new lithicore batteries back in febuary but started to suck after only 6 weeks ( and I say that because the batteries that I used before were still working good even after a year). I always use an external battery charger.

I've got a box Somewhere with 10 or 12 Mods that are Worn Out. Might be a Button that doesn't work every time. Or a 510 Connector that has gotten Wobbly. But the Vast Majority of them have LCD Screens that have become so Dim you can't read them.

The Mod might still Work fine. But you can't tell what Wattage you're set at? Or if you're even in Wattage Mode?

Mods in general wear out, perhaps especially on high production products made in China, cheaper internal components all around.
Applies to European ones too, but it is clear that you get what you pay for, mods with silver contacts will have better contact in the short term.
I have a Limelight Wicket with Dicodes BF 60 Chipset, it has reached 141,000 puffs, even after many drops it does seem to continue to deliver.

I had started to go over the GeakVape Solo, the battery cap and cleaning it should be the first step.
Next to clean a bit is the 510 connector.

I still have and playing with the firmware's on the Reuleaux RX GEN3 & RX200s plus the Joytech Cubiod Pro. All 3 are still runing sweet. Bought a couple of the latest ones and 1 of them broke in the first week!. The Geekvape Aegis 200w. The Screen went dead!. I do not trust anything coming out at the moment.
What amazes me is we should be using these mods like a phone by now. My Cubiod has more going on than most of the stuff out there. Plus were has all the good firmware modders gone?
This is why I stick to my old gear. When using the RX gen3 + RX200 you can see the coils amps and voltage live without having to press the fire button to see anything. This should be standard on all devices by now.

The battery cap is something to watch. Someone suggested taking off the seal ring on the cap. I did that plus did a cleaning which sorted out some minor problems with connectivity. Also with the ring in place it can take a lot of force to screw on the cap which can lead to damaging the threads. The only downside is removing the seal might make it less resistance to water. I dropped one once in the yard. Found it the next time I mowed after a month of heavy rain. It fired right up.

I got my first Solo right after it was released, been using it daily ever since. Probably 12 or 15 altogether now. The only problem so far is one of them doesn't do TC anymore, it's still fine in power mode though.
