do new atomizers need juice right out of the box?

Or can I just plug in a new cartridge and go? I have heard of atomizers going "dry" so I just want to play it safe.

First thing I always do is blow as much liquid (primer) out of them as I can, because most factory-liquids are far from to my liking. Next I put on a few drops of liquid and let itself work into the mesh for a bit. Then put in cartridge and start vaping.

That's the way I do it, mind you. There are some people that think the factory-liquid is very important and needs to be kept in as long as possible - I'm obviously not one of them, but perhaps you are... then don't follow my route here
(Plus, while I don't know if they still do the same currently, I do know that for instance Janty always has, or had, oriental liquid in it coming from the factory... so nothing special, just 'one of the liquids'- and not my favourite, ugh...)

katink, I usually recommend just that. Most eCigarettes come with liquid in them from the factory.. and I usually blow it out and flll up my own so that I know how may drips are in there..

However... If you are going to be putting a new cartridge in there instead of using your own juice, then I would leave the factory "lube" in the atomizer so that it never has a chance to run dry.. and just deal with the taste for the first few puffs.

Just my suggestion/opinion.. take it with a grain of salt.
