Guys & Gals, It is true that we are not smoking and we called it vaping. and is True that the Law did not Ban vaping in Public or indoors.
Do not Create a Scene in Public in which may create a negative Feedback from the Public before the new Law start to be created, we need to be true to this and be responsible as well although is already Envoirmental Friendly.

Can anyone recall why Government Ban Smoking in Building and 10M away from Entrance?
I remember was due to the smell and the 2nd hand smokes

I vape outside when in public, but not with the smokers. I no longer smoke so I don't want to smell it, breathe it etc. I do not vape in stores or any where else that smoking is not allowed. I do not want to spoil a good thing by vaping where it is not welcome. I know that governments can make laws anytime they want, so I just keep to myself and hope that if I vape responsibly I can show that I am not trying to make non smokers uncomfortable. The nonsmokers are the ones that will push to make vaping illegal. I would vape with the smokers now and then to let them see what vaping is all about then after a while you will convert people to vaping and at some point maybe a few nonsmokers will see that vaping is much better than smoking. When in question about vaping just be responsible and polite. That is what I do friends now let me vape in their house and not ouside with their smoker friends since I explained and they have had the chance to see and smell my vape.

I must be getting old and soft but I think it is just the right thing to do by NOT vaping where you can't smoke. Why, you ask?

Firstly I'd like to think we would like regular non-smokers not getting angry with Vapors' because they don't understand the difference with cigarettes. It's just bad public relations, and ammunition for the 'do gooders, politicians, FDA, Big Tobacco, Nicotine Replacement Therapy Industry and Cancer Council to name a few.

Man if I was one of the afore mentioned I'd jump at the chance to quote Joe Public's outrage. 'Why these Vaping people have no regard for the general public. They flaunt the rules using a technicality . . . blah blah blah ad nauseam.' And they'd be right.

If I'm in a restaurant with my wife who detests smoking with a vengeance and the person at the next table is blowing out mega plumes of vapour doesn't she deserve to be a little '...... off'. After all, the Vaper can walk outside to achieve their goal, but you can't do the same with your meal.

I understand many people feel badly treated by the laws on smoking, and the stigma attached and also the constant sniping by the non smoking brigade, but how hard is it to be aware you are not the only person in the universe and you need to share your space with others. And if your actions adversely impact on others, whether real or imagined, I can't see why a reasonable person doesn't take action by themselves to rectify that problem.

I had smoked for 42 years prior to vaping. During that period of time I never smoked in a non-smokers house, even when allowed. It stinks. I never smoked inside my own house after I had kids. Easier for me to go outside for five minutes than to possibly cause them to get sick.

I think it is just as easy to do the same when vaping. I do not want anyone to force their lifestyle choices on me and I certainly wouldn't do it to someone else deliberately.

I believe it is common decency. Unfortunately, it isn't so common anymore.

Low profile first here in sg. non-smokers instinctively avoid, hold their breath, or cover their nose whenever they see smoke/vape coming out of a person. As what everyone says, they don't know the difference. Right now, we can't do anything about it. What we can do, though, is NOT get unwanted attention. This will just reinforce the government to impose more strict rules for vapers.

I completely agree that we shouldn't be causing a scene when vaping, its not our right at the moment its our privilege (not everyone here has that privilege). At the same time I kind of dont want to be around cigarette anymore, it kinda stinks lol.

I like the way you put that. And I'm glad that a responsible attitude is showing through here. Next we need to awaken the masses of people still smoking and as yet are totally unaware there is an alternative that may be less harmful to their health.

What's really sad is that a major (American) company hasn't the guts to go this route and champion e-cigs as an alternative. The money that could be made by such an entrepreneur would be staggering, and the benefit to the community just as beneficial.

I love vaping in my office, but then my patients are intrigued, I don't vape with them in my part of the office building (unless they want to see it for themselves) and I own the building (makes the matter easier). But I know my husband does not try vaping at his office (mgr, corporate) and still goes to the "dock" to vape with the smokers outdoors. I feel bad about that since I no longer have to deal with the elements to get my spot hit!

I always try to be considerate to my peers and the GP while vaping. Some have a problem with it some don't. If I have any question I ask! It's a conversation starter and a chance at education. OMG, I just saw a news feed that had an MD on it saying that e-cigs contain anti-freeze!

When I ask some say go right ahead. Some say yes I mind. Some say "you want to what?". A few have gone off on a tirade on how the government has become way too oppressive on personal rights. That being said, King County WA USA have passed law that bans vaping anywhere smoking is not allowed. One reason they had in their brief was it would be more difficult for law enforcement to do enforce the law. This really scares me.

yes, we should vape only at designated smoking areas. there was once i was walking and vaping on the street way and people around me automatically started covering their noses lol. the public generally stereotypes us as smokers the moment they see smoke coming out from our mouths/noses. So, in order to not gain bad publicity for vapers, stay low-key. hehehe!
