Do Reo packages still require a signature?

I got my friend to invest in a Reo! Should be here on Wednesday, but he didn't know about the required signature and isn't sure if he'll be able to be at home come time for the big delivery. The reason I ask is because my other friend got his first Reo in the mail the other week and he didn't have to sign for it, so I figured I'd check to see if that was still a thing.

Yes, they come signature required. If your friend didn't have to sign for his, then the Post Office screwed up. The REOs always come signature required. If you get other things from Rob's site (screws, bottles, RM2s, etc.,) they are not signature required, but the mods always are.

I just signed for mine at the post office today (on lunch break)
I believe he was so busy last week, that he said no sigs. But that was temporary, if I remember correctly.

I has to sign for mine that was delivered last Wednesday, but had to wait to pick it up from the post office on Saturday.

As I understand it, if you sign up for an account on USPS site, you can track the package, and then electronically sign for it, allowing the driver to leave it. I've not tried it yet, but have signed up for an account.

Barring that, you can go to the post office and beg and plead for them to give you a blank peach signature slip to leave in the mailbox, you fill in all the details, including tracking, etc.

I tried registering for a USPS account but wasn't able to to presign for it online. I saw the option for a previous item I had delivered but it wasn't signature required. For my Reo, I didnt even see the option available.

This will work with UPS, I had something left a couple of weeks ago that was signature required. Do not know about USPS however.
