Do Some Carts Burn Better Than Others?

I seem to be getting some odd results and wanted to know if anyone else has encountered the same thing.

I have been refilling the same cart for 3 days now and it just keeps tasting soooo good when refilled and keeps pushing out massive amounts of vapor. I then refilled a few other carts and all I am getting is burnt polyfill taste. Anybody else encounter this issue? I really hate refilling carts with 20 drops of juice and them tasting like crap afterwards. Real waste of juice. I am thinking of just dropping 4 drops in and giving it a snap? To see if it tastes right...

Why would a cart have a burning taste even when saturated with juice? Atty too close to filling or something? Cuz other carts refilled are heaven!

Are some carts better than others in your refilling experience? BTW, I am refilling pre filled carts.

Luma,

Oftentimes if you use a cart until it tastes burnt the first time, there really isn't much you can do to get rid of the burnt taste.

AAh. I see Mark.

I guess I will just make sure I never get my carts empty I guess. I usually refill when I notice the flavor is going away but I guess I'm killing em that way. Best way to do this I would imagine is to keep at least 2 bats in rotation!

Thanks Mark.

How do I know I have the burnt taste. I think I might be confusing nic strength with burnt taste.

If you vape a cart dry, you get an odd taste. Starts to loose flavor and tastes like perhaps a burning polyester? There is stuff in the carts called poly fill. I would say keep 2 or 3 carts in rotation throughout the day and fill em up new at night or before you use them again. I tend to rotate 2 or 3 carts and then fill em up at night when watching tv.

Thats so funny, you mention that--I watched V4L's vid on refilling the cartos, and loved the little thing he had to set them in while "steeping" after being filled, so I got a sheet of foam, poked holes throughout the sheet and now have about 16 carts sitting and waiting to go. I have so many due to refilling the sampler I got, but they have plastic caps that I just cannot get off, no matter how I try. So I'm dripping in the juice, and they start to loss their taste and vapor pretty quickly. I also have a few filled with "after dinner" flavors, like apple, amaretto, white choc, and cotton candy. I use menthol during the day, but find that vaping the candy flavors keep me from snacking as much! I'll be the only girl in town who quit smoking AND lost weight!!!LOL!!!

Also some of the carts have a piece of wicking "paper" that weaves in and out of the vertical wire. It helps to feed juice from the stuffing to the coil. Once those get burned the only thing you can do is a mod on the cart or toss them; no going back unless you enjoy the burnt taste. I save the old carts for mods needing tubes. Some people pull the filling out and do some kind of dripping with them. My personal experience doing that is with two 801 carts. The filling was almost impossible to get out if you have burned the little "paper". It usually burns some of the stuffing together and they fuse. The first two I did, on an 801, broke the wire when I finally got to the point of pulling the stuffing out. Other carts might be easier to do this on.

I toasted five new 801s by dry burning them too much after boiling. I boil almost every cart and atty before using because I can't handle even the slightest off taste. I've successfully, carefully dry burned bunches 510 carts after cleaning and haven't burned them up like the 801s.
