I'm using Boge LR carto's with my Ego batteries and wanted to know if the existing tank carto offerings are just as good as a standalone Boge LR carto?? What would you all suggest I use that will hit the same but allows the carto to stay wet? Does the carto being in a tank affect its performance? I'm assuming not but wanted to make sure cuz I'm loving the output of my carto when compared to the regular Ego tank and wanted to move up to a carto tank but have no experience with them.

I second what djej said! That was an eye opener to me. I've the same single carto in since Jan. 21st and it hits like when I put it on. It hits like it's full all the time, and I don't have to think about getting dry hits and then burning.

It's like the difference between perfectly tuned fuel injection and an out of tune carburetor. This is w/ a boge in a momnpop tank. Another carto in another tank?, who knows. I lucked out and got a great setup from the start.

anyone else find the flavour slightly muted at times in carto tanks? the vapour production remains excellent, and the carto seems to stay good longer than if i'd been vaping it tankless but after the first few hits.. the flavour is still there, it's just not as pronounced as it would be on a carto on its own.

am I just chain vaping too fast, not allowing the juice time to soak in or is it possible my pre-punched cartos don't have a big enough hole for the juice i'm vaping so it's not soaking as much as it probably should? I get no burnt hits so there's definitely "enough" juice getting in and like i said above the vapour production is the same or better it's just... slightly muted flavour.

If you take a few pulls on the carto w/ the power off and get a different taste when you hit it after, then I'd guess you're a little dry and perhaps you could put an additional hole in the carto. Or more PG so it flows better. Sometimes it's the carto, I always get dry hits off and on w/ 1.7 Ressurectors/Kangers. I only use BogeLR's for consistency.

They perform the same if you get the wicking right. Ideally, the carto stays wet as long as there's juice in the tank, and when the combination of hole-size and juice-thickness is just right, it works great -- just like a freshly-filled carto.
When you say works like a freshly filled new carto, do you mean the taste or the vapor? I'm having a problem with my cartos only tasting great the very first day of use. After about 5-6ML going through it does not taste nearly as good as it did when I first filled it. Sure it vapes fine, as far as plenty of vapor and TH etc., but the taste is diminished and almost tastes a little dirty or something. Hard to explain. Does anyone experience this. My husband an I both feel this way so I know it can't just be me. I see some people say they use a carto for a week or two and am shocked. I'm lucky to get 2 full days. Sure I could continue to vape it, but I don't enjoy it like the first fill. Would using a tank eliminate this issue? I don't see how it would make a difference but if so I'd love to know. Any other suggestions welcomed as well. Thanks:)

Both. Taste and vapor. What cartos are you using? What tank?

I never get a "dirty" taste with my tanks. I use DCT tanks cut down to fit Boge cartos, and just today I received a stainless steel J-Tank made for the short Boge cartos.
