I smoked because of my fixation on fiddling and keeping busy while drinking. I also liked the big puff of smoke--but the smell, yuk. It seems to me that, unlike the smell of food that attracts so many people to eat, the smell of burning tobbaco doesn't seem to be missed by ex-smokers. Is this true?
I smoked because I "needed" to. I stopped enjoying smoking about ten years before I quit, I hated the addiction, I hated the control it had over me, and I hated how I behaved when I couldn't get my fix.
The smell of cigarette smoke doesn't really bother me, but I really don't like the smell of cigarette smoke.
