The percent of inhaled lung nicotine vrs nicotine absorbed by the oral mucosa is not as high as you think. This has been measured. You don't have to inhale into lungs.

I smoked a cigar and pipe for years and have never smoked a cigarette. I tend to use high nic vape 24 and occasionally 36. I am quite satisfied with puffin.

I have read that nic is absorbed through the mouth, nose, mucus membranes...etc..

I have a bad cough and ruff throat. Do we still get our fix just inhaling into the mouth without inhaling directly into the lungs?

Thanks

So I sat here trying vaping without inhailing into my lungs........ Really miss that pleasure of the inhale and the TH... I dont think I could vape without inhaling into my lungs... Sorry to hear your hacking away... I have used 100% VG 36mg for 1 3/4 years now and dont seem to have any problems... I do use unflavored though....

Unflavored is a satisfactory vape? Have you ever vaped with flavor or flavors? From your point of view, how do they compare? Ever tried unflavored PG and if so how would you describe difference the two unflavored?

Actually nicotine absorption has been studied using tagged nicotine and a e cig. Can't remember the citation but the majority of the nic can easily be absorbed through mucus membranes.

What is the difference is the speed of absorption. Lungs quickly absorb.

When the smoke bans came out for bars in NYC they made something called Nicotini's. Martini infused with Nicotine. So I guess you could drink small amounts.

OMG I just tried that not-right-into-the-lungs thing, passed it out through my nose slowly (once I figured the only way to find out how would be to DI it, hehe) and WOW. I had started at 24mg with my husband and had to switch to 14mg quickly, then went to 9-12 range so I could vape as much as I wanted. I have been sitting here itching for a fix cause I can't vape enough to quell the crave, my 510 atty overheats so badly. I tried this trick and have a major headrush and that happy just-had-a-smoke feeling. THANK YOU!!

I tend to do a combination of both.
Long slow first pull, almost to the battery cut off point. Shallow take back into the lungs and out through the nose. At the same time as the nose exhale, I'm drawing in a second lot of vapour, which I inhale deeper and exhale slowly through the mouth for massive smoke rings.
This way I find I get the best of both worlds, good nic hit, th and vapour :thumb:

Sometimes, if I'm feeling adventurous, I even do a third draw. But then I can set the PV down for quite a while.

When I used to smoke I never inhaled directly into my lungs. I pulled it into my mouth, and then inhaled.

I do the same now with vapor, except usually I exhale through my nose.

I tried 'into the mouth, out through the nose without inhaling into the lungs', but I can't take it. Stings like hell, and every time I did it consistently for a day or more I got a cold a couple days later...

So far that's kinda what I do. Nose exhaling with or without inhaling to the lungs result in a runny nose. Which leads to Post-nasal drip, so on and so forth. I never smoked a cigarette directly into the lungs but I did inhale air behind the puff and exhaled. I might try just skipping the inhaling from time to time though. if it takes without me wanting an analog super bad I'll give it a go. But, even if I just had a hookah or a cigar, I always wanted a cigarette for the feeling of inhaling.

I am getting my nicotine delivered without inhaling into my lungs. After a couple of days inhaling into my lungs I read on this forum somewhere ( not sure where as I have read soooooooooooo much ) that the correct way is to keep it in your mouth and nasal passages. It took a couple of days to retrain myself to do this and it feels so much better. After many many years of inhaling cigarette smoke, dust from work and other bad things I will try my best to give the ol air pumps a break.
