We are not destined for wrath, but it is through much tribulation that we enter Heaven.

Acts 14:22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying, "Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God."

John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."

Rev 2:10 'Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Just points to ponder, maybe open a discussion:
What is the difference between:
The wrath of God
The wrath of Satan
Tribulation
The great trubulation

A verse that appears to directly say that we will be taken out pre:
Rev 3:10 'Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

The Greek that represents "will keep" above is "tereo" (tay-reh-o) means to protect and preserve in place like that of a heavily guarded prisoner. "keeping and guarding in the midst of danger as apposed to removing from danger to a safe place."

Just some things to ponder, not start an uproar over.

What is our common confession? He's coming back for me!

That verse in Rev 3:10 is pretty convincing.........I'd really like to believe it. But then on the other hand, why does it also say that we will be beheaded for not accepting the mark of the beast, and only those who endure to the end will be saved, and things like that? So much conflicting information, makes my head spin.

In order to be beheaded during the tribulation you would have to be there.
Christians through out all time must endure until the end, their end.
Many will die in the midst of the tribulation, many will survive to see the Rapture. Many will be saved during the tribulation.

Perseverance: We think of perseverance (time wise) as all the way to the finish line. While that is true, we don't know were the finish line is that God has for us individually. We must persevere until we stand before God, our end whether in two days, in the middle of the Tribulation or at the Rapture.

What better tool to test true faith than for a time to come that they will kill you for claiming to belong to Christ? All those who have infiltrated our ranks, or are mistaken about the faith they think they have, weigh the options and deny Christ.

Only those who truly have the Holy Spirit will be able to say in that day, "I am scared and I don't want to die, but God is real, Jesus is real! If you only knew".

Has anyone here read the Left Behind series? It's supposed to be really good, I'm going to check it out.

If the rapture does happen, I can't even imagine what this world will be like for those that are left behind. It would be terrifying and that's putting it mildly.

it won't be that bad, the government and politicians will still be around to take our money :p

here's a question: will the church cease to exist post-rapture?

Its very clear if you study the book of Revelation. The Christians and Christ's church will be raptured. All the people left who HAVE heard the gospel and not accepted it will be sent a strong delusion. There is no hope for them, they will never get another chance, but lets not forget ALL the people yet to hear the gospel of our Lord. This is what the 144,000 will be doing, turning people to Christ. While this is all going on, they will be murdered,,tortured, etc. as you will have to worship/take the mark of the Beast or die. Man will still curse God as the destruction of the world is going on. Revelation is very clear on what happens and when.
