I seem to like to 'clean' out my TANK(S)
every couple of fills or so...

if you want to save the coil, remove it,
clean/dry tank then back at it with flavor change or not

I also enjoy the beauty of tanks that fully break down (come apart)
it is easy enuff to rinse clean with warm water
but it is the DRYING that is a bummer with tanks that don't break down completely

just something about a nice new clean tank that makes me happy

Yes. If it is the same thing for the coil. If it is the same flavor, I go about 20ml before cleaning and replacing the coil. If I finish a 10ml bottle and the next flavor is similar, I will just fill it with the new flavor and go 10ml. Maybe a little short before cleaning, but, I want the better and buying coils is not really hard.

As to cleaning, there are several ways. For me, I disassemble, rinse under hot water and then soak in a bowl of 20% white vinegar/water for an hour. It kills any flavor. Then rinse under hot water and air dry.

Hope helps

If u arent switching juice there isn't a great reason to Clean it but no matter what your coils will eventually build up gun . It is always good to do some maintaince to make sure all ur seals are in tact and stuff like that. As far as cleaning your coil, I put my atomizer insid vodka to clean it. U can. Do this with all the prices of ur tank. U can. Also use extremely hot water. (Not boiling)Just fill a cup with hot water and put the peices in the cup and swish it around a little. Sometimes your mouthpeiece will get ejuice in it or even the place where ur mouthpiece sits in the tank. Both of these methods are perfectly safe for your parts. Cleaning of your coil/atomizer is especially important when switching flavors. When u setup ur tank and clean ur coil/atomizer and put new juice in, it is a good practice to suck the mouthpiece a few timed to get the juice onto the wick before u actually vape the juice.

Happy vaping!

I do a tear down and clean every time I change flavors. I usually go through 100ml of juice through a tank before cleaning. most of the time that involves warp soapy water, cotton wash cloth, etc. If the connections look like they're oxidizing, then I do a more detailed clean. all parts are thoroughly rinsed and wiped down with another cotton wash cloth.

I don't own a sonic cleaner but I have aquired an old electric toothbrush my son threw away while cleaning his bathroom.... Vape cleaning tool... SCORE!!! :)

I hate cleaning things, and am a bit lazy about it, but still want to keep my gear in good trim. I like Easy and Unobtrusive.

I use Kanger Aerotanks for my carry-around gear, and they get pretty gunky with use -- in particular the airflow holes in the mini, which get clogged after a while. Generally I just give them a good rinse in tap water each week, and they're fine.

For a thorough cleaning, every month or so, I tear them down completely and I put them into an electrosonic cleaner I got for under $20 in a clearance sale. The cleaning solution I use is just distilled water mixed with a cap full of cheap rot-gut vodka. VapinGreek did a YouTube video last September called "Kayfun Cleaning, DX Cap and a simple quick build" -- the cleaning process he uses is how I clean my Aerotanks and the heads, as well as my Kayfuns. Todd Reviews also has an old video up on electrosonic cleaners -- I recall the before/after shots impressively show what these devices can do.

Not at all a must-have item, but electrosonic cleaners work well, are easy to use, and not a high-ticket purchase. 20 minutes after putting the stuff into the cleaner, and giving it a quick drying, it's all good to go, except for the Aerotank heads which need a day or two to let the wicking dry out.

I really only have 1 tank that I occasionally use, a Billow. I don't clean it very often. When I decide to rebuild it, though, I will rinse it out at the same time with hot water. But it is vaping great with the build I put in there a couple of months ago. I haven't even re-wicked it since then. I don't use it everyday though, but it is a nano tank, so on the days that I do use it, I go through all of the juice that I put in there quickly. And then I refill it, sometimes with a different flavor. I will rebuild it and clean it when I don't think it is performing well, but it is still going strong for the time being.

I have the Nautilus Aspire 5ml tank and have had it since December. Was wondering if they are supposed to be "cleaned" or rinsed or anything? I use the same juice, no switching flavors but was curious if I am missing on maintenance lol
Battery is the 20w iStick and use BVC coils

I wash my tank and heads every 15 ml, and rotate them. I usually keep one of each (a mini and a full size) and use them periodically to avoid wear and tear.

If I use a particularly strong flavor that won't go away I'll wash the tank with water but ultimately replacing the atty does more toward fixing that problem.

next time dissasemble the whole tank (driptip included), dissolve a teaspoon of baking soda into water and let the tank sit there overnight. Rinse and repeat if neccesary. For the head, wash it in very hot running water and drop into alcohol overnight.
