I have been dripping with my volcano Lavatube and a dripping atomizer that is bridged inside (and drip tip from volcano too)...I think it is rated at around 3.8 ohms. and im not using a high wattage setting (ive experimented with watts @ 3.0 and 3.5 so far) and I have varied the voltage anywhere between 3.0 to 4.0....I don't like vaping at higher watts and volts because its just to hot and harsh to me.
If anything tastes burnt at 3.0 or 3.5 watts, there is definitely something wrong.

Maybe the wicking is so bad that no juice is getting to the atomizer.
Or maybe you are mistaking watts for voltage.

No juice on earth should even think about tasting burnt until you are at around 8 watts.
The same is probably true for any atomizer that comes in at 3.8 ohms.

I typically vape at around 10 watts, but since I'm dripping I don't have any wicking issues to worry about.
My atomizer is 2.3 ohms and my Twist is usually dialed up all the way to 4.8 volts.

What kind of "dripping atomizer" are you using?
Do you have a link?

i started out with a kayfun lite as my first rba and thought it was the beez kneez...but then i had to replace my m-tank because it cracked and was left atty-less until the new on i ordered came in. so i went to my local b&m and got a cheap quick fix...an igo w dripper. and ive been using it ever since. i have the kfl and a steam turbine just sitting there not being used lol. i prefer the dripper now because of the immense flavor and vapor production, i find myself getting satisfied with the vape sooner than using the afformentioned rbas. and its very low maintainance and the ease of rebuilding it as well. and they are rediciulously cheap compared to some rbas as well.

Why do I drip?

--Nothing tastes better than dripping
--I can switch flavors at the drop of a hat
--It provides a good replacement for the ritual of lighting and smoking a cigarette
--It always works and there are never any issues
--It helps to make sure I only vape when I feel the need or desire to vape

+1 on this answer :)

I've tried it all, and I still prefer dripping with my 510 attys :)

Please share a link for those. You'd be surprised as to how hard it is to find them. I've looked all over, using google, and haven't found any in a decent looking site. Please share where you get yours.

I usually vape with kanger T3 tanks either on my Lavatube or on my variable volt spinner type larger batteries. I do switch tanks (juices a lot). I always have at least seven to 10 tanks in a handy container and I constantly rotate between them.

so it's easier to have a "handy container" than to have a couple 15 or 30 ml bottles handy?

AND WE HAVE A WINNER!! My thoughts exactly. Also, I can swap out my cotton wicks in about a minute.

I've got a nimbus on the way...and wanted to ask - do you go ahead and drip say 4-5 drops take a couple of hits and then change up flavor if you are at home at the blink of an eye? Does it not still have the taste of say; the other juice you were dripping?

I'm new to this but would like to know how you do it...I have a MINI ProTANK2 and a FoggerV2 on the way and already hating having to finish my tank before I can test/fill another juice without wasting...

Yes, that is what I do.

The taste of the previous liquid blends with the new one for a few drags, but then it fades away.
This often produces some interesting and desirable mixes.
:)

On the other hand, I tend to move between complimentary flavors most of the time.

If for some reason I want to move to a very uncomplimentary flavor, I blow the atomizer out into a square of tissue paper.
But this is something I rarely do, as I am game for trying out just about any combination of flavors for a few drags.

But when I have been vaping pizza flavor, well, I pretty much NEED to blow that out.
It definitely doesn't go all that will with, say, Belgian Cocoa.

I should mention, however, that I just use a tiny little 510 atomizer.
I'm not sure how one goes about changing flavors with a rebuildable atomizer with lots of wicking material.

Yes, I drip. Flavor is out of this world. easiest to maintain setup for me. I have had Cheap ce4 clearos, a couple of protank 2 minis, a few mini vivi novas, aspire, smokteck aro and once I found the nack for dripping, I have never used one of those clearos again. I have a container with several in there just sitting gathering dust. I now have 6 drippers and 1 steam turbine all coiled and ready at any time. If I ever have cotton get bad or a coil crap out I can grab any one of my other set ups and I'm good to go. Now that I use nano coils. I can even save the cotton if I need and put it in another coil. I haven't done this but I could if needed. Dripping is the cheapest and easiest method for me.

In drippers I have a IGO-L and a Trident. Both have a lip around the deck and hold quite a few drops of liquid. I get 8 - 12 good drags out of each and if I want to put more juice in them I can but performance drops if you get the coil too wet. The Trident is my main vape these days. I set it up dual micro coil and sub ohm on a mech mod. I typically have four different juices going in needle tip bottles and mix as I feel like, rarely vaping one juice alone.

I've currently got (all DIY) tobacco (M-type, DK blend, coffee, caramel at 5 mg), cola (pralenes and cream, bavarian cream, menthol, caramel, 0 nic), strawberry candy cane (strawberry, menthol, EM, 0 nic) and a experimental juice with just Flavor West amaretto at 5% and 0 nic to try out.

There is no other way to do this than by dripping. The upside is I will never, ever get vaper's tongue or bored with my flavors. The downside is when someone asks me what flavor I'm vaping, well, hmm, let's see ...

Works for me, but as always, YMMV ;)

Somewhere out there
Mostly I use clearos, but whenever I want to try a flavor without filling a tank I will drip.

Also, I have have some dark sweet flavors that will gunk a coil quickly. I only drip those because the RDA is so easy to rebuild or clean and dry burn.

Also, I drip when I want a quick hit of a stronger nic than I usually vape.

Dripping cured my vaper's tongue. When I use a tank, with the exception of my AGA-T2, the flavor quickly starts to get muffled. I also tend to get bored with the same flavor if I have a tank full of it (haven't found my ADV yet). I work at home so most of the time I can just drip away. I try to stay with complementary flavors so I can drip a new one in just as the old one starts to get dry; it blends for a hit or two and then the new one comes in. Since I started dripping I have not had vaper's tongue once. Today I'm rotating between a cheesecake flavor, a (very light) coffee flavor, and Castle Long Reserve (barrel-aged so it's kind of whiskey and coconut). I can drip any of these on top of the last and it will be awesome.

Changing out the wick is easy as hell too - only takes a minute to pull the old cotton out, dry burn the coils, and put new wick in. Can't do that with a tank :)

yes, because like I said - I have seven to ten different juices going at all times...if I don't use my container I have to sit here with or carry around all those different bottles of juice...when I go out I can just grab my container with all my tanks inside and jump in my car...
so it's easier to have a "handy container" than to have a couple 15 or 30 ml bottles handy?
