No, and I'm coming up on two years. The first 6 months or so I dreamed about smoking all the time. I would wake up, and go to have a cig. Then it would hit me: d'oh! You don't have any cigs.

One thing I did the first few months was try to avoid other smokers. Maybe it would help if you didn't go out drinking for a few months? It can be hard not socializing in your usual way though. Best of luck.

Everyone is so different.

Being around smokers actually helps me. Smelling how nasty they reek reminds me I could smell that disgusting again if I fail.

Drinking?? I dunno. I quit years ago but I know people who are drunk every single day and do fine with vaping. And others who do good with vaping until they drink then they fail everytime.

I don't actually hate the smell of cigs. In fact, I kind of like it. So that wasn't a deterrent for me.

I can't actually drink anymore. I was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis 8.5 years ago. I rarely drank anyway so not drinking at all was no biggie for me. In fact its been nearly 9 years since my last beer, which was St. Patrick's Day in 07.

I've had a 45 year smoking career and have quit 5 times during that span. Once was cold turkey for 13 months. One thing I've found is if you have the mindset that a cigarette once in a while is OK you will never quit smoking. At least that's how it works for me. You cheat once and a then go a month without smoking and tell yourself I smoked a month ago but haven't since so I deserve one. Then it's every 3 weeks, then every 2 weeks then 1 week then every few days and pretty soon your smoking daily again. A pack will last me 5-6 days at first but before I know it I'm back to 2 packs a day. I'm determined this time and so far I haven't even taken 1 puff of a cigarette. If I do I know what will happen.

To me being out drinking and being able to have a few cigs and not go back to them full steam is a win for me. So if I happen to have a few I don't sweat it. When the vape council was passing out the you're a failure if you have two or three smokes personality I got in the wrong line. :)

Wife asks for a cig from a smoker almost every time we're out. My solution is a high nic tobacco flavored juice on the aspire nautilus. I bring it with me when we go out. 12 MG Dorky stud from vapetrik (rip trippers) is my poison. I'm fortunate enough to not really crave a cig. I've had drags when I was wasted a couple of times but I really was not satisfied.

This thread is much less harsh if you mentally put the words "For me," in front of most of the posts. It makes it a bit less judgmental. I like to assume that people don't mean to sound as harsh and unforgiving as they do.

I've been a full time vaper for nearly five years. That first year, the thought of having a cigarette felt like it might be a "relapse", but over time I've found that an occasional cigarette hasn't led me back to smoking regularly and is just a choice in the moment. I see no reason for guilt or fear for having a cigarette once in a great while, and they taste good more often than not, especially with a beer or a vodka gimlet. I've probably had nearly a carton of cigarettes over the last five years and still see myself as a full time vaper.

I would suggest some juice high in nicotine....like 18-24 mg....I take few hits off that and it takes any urges away immediately.
I vaped 36mg juice once... It took away the urge to do anything at all for a good 15-20 min and i was a 1/2 p.a.d. for 15+ years. That nic rush can put you on your ... quick fast and in a hurry
