Do you feel comfortable with dealers that mix their own eliquid?

Ever grab a hotdog from a Quick Stop or Circle K? How about a drink from there? Do you know when they cleaned the machines or spouts? Have you ever been to that mom and pop shop you ordered your pizza from? Have you ever been in the back at a Sub shop where they chop all the stuff in those bins they put on your bread? How about that Chinese buffet... been in the kitchen there? Is someone standing by 24/7 inspecting and watching employees prepare your food? Ever watch Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares? Sometimes you just have to do the best you can.

When it comes to the food industry, I just have to put my fingers in my ears sometimes and say *lalala can't hear you lalala*
Seriously. B/c if I actually thought very much about this stuff...I'd never eat again.

Why so much concern for juice vendors?

Where I live cayuga county new york plastic gloves are not used in food preperation but the next county over they are. I am sure its different all through out the usa.
That being said, I know which county I'd rather eat in.
Blech.

In response to the OP's question, I think the pre-made industry (non-DIY) is generally on the up and up. BUT I had the same questions as you and I think the honest answer is: The only way to control what goes in to your juice is to DIY, which I do. I have VERY few vendor juices on my vape list now. Almost everything I mix tastes better to me just because you tweak recipes to your individual tastes instead of catering to the masses. There are some excellent juices out there by vendors and most vendors take extreme care when mixing in general. The thing is if your worried about the mixing issue, I hate to spring up the issue of where is the PG/VG/NIC SOURCED?? A LOT of these vendors are using products sourced in China, which for some is not a big deal, but how many vendors will tell you there bases are sourced in America. Remember, made in America does NOT by any means mean SOURCED in America, they could be mixing with chinese made bases/flavors in America hence "made in America" Again, a lot of people don't mind this, I'm just saying that I do. YMMV

Luckily, some vendors do source this way and that is not why I buy from them, but that is why I am the most comfortable buying from them--attention to detail. When I speak of vendors that are on the up and up, I am speaking of vendors that do everything and more to take steps of quality control that 9 out of 10 people are not going to care about, notice, or ever become aware of. Unfortunately, so many vendors are looking to do everything on the cheap, and understandably so, but this casts a blanket over the entire lot when in all actuality, it shouldn't.

E-juice is simpler than people think. It's pretty difficult to mess it up on accident. It may end up tasting off and that's it. If there is malice, greed, or negligence involved, it's a different story. If the person mixing really wants to screw some people over they can. There are still some companies out there that use diacetyl and other chemicals/flavorings that are KNOWN to be harmful upon inhalation. They are basically knowingly pouring poison in e-juice in the name of profit. Always look for information about the juice maker's process and history on their site. Then research and read as many reviews as you can find. Good juice makers will always have "We do not use diacetyl and xxxx in our juices." in bold print somewhere on the site.

This is very true. There are STILL vapers out there that say "well, it's better than smoking analogs so oh well". Regardless of their reasoning, just a little research on diacetyl and one would realize how bad even trace amounts can be to your lungs. Permanent lung damage is not funny, and that is exactley what diacetyl does.

I'm still new to the vaping scene and it took me forever to decide on where to place my first order from. There are tons of vendors out there. I ended up going with Mtbakervapor. The main reason I chose them was their fast shipping and cheap prices. I was wanting to try several flavors and for 4.99 I could get a full 15 ml bottle where most sites the same price only gets you a 5 ml bottle. So far I have tried peach (which tastes like a peach jolly rancher, yum!), double apple and thug juice.

What's interesting is everyone was talking about how great thug juice is. I just loaded it tonight and to me it tastes like cough syrup. I've only let is steep for 2 days so I'm going to let it sit for a bit longer and see what happens but taste is definitely subjective.

The other thing about Mtbakervapor is when I ordered it shipped the same day and got to me in TN in 3 days. I was very happy with the shipping time and will order from them again.

"Sippin' on some syzurp, sip, sip, sip, sip."

I wonder how many people will read that like

That's probably why it's called Thug Juice.
