Do you feel you need bigger clouds with vaping than with tobacco smoking?

I can't remember ever noticing the smoke I exhaled, but I have to admit that I do look at the vapor I exhale. But, don't ask me why.

OH-and, my 2 ohm coils on a mechanical mod don't produce all that much. Even a carto tank produces enough to satisfy me.

When I first started vaping back in February, was still weaning-down from smoking, I actually did watch my smoke as I exhaled from a cigarette, and I did this again this summer during my dual-use phase. It's really not that much in terms of volume or thickness, but, when you consider that smoke is depositing *solid particles* into the lungs with each drag, whereas vapor is not, it does sorta make sense that some folks, especially those who inhaled their smoke very deeply and/or smoked very strong cigarettes, would find thicker vapor more satisfying; I suppose it feels more like *something* is actually going into the lungs, as opposed to the very light texture of thinner vapor. And maybe that's one reason I have a problem with thicker vapor; I couldn't inhale cigarette smoke very deeply without it giving me that ol "cough-up-a-lung" reaction, so I learned to do very slow, shallow inhales (which turns out to be the best way to inhale vapor too).

I've also noticed that the flavor of vapor seems most noticeable on the exhale, rather than on the inhale or in the mouth, so maybe a thicker exhaled cloud gives a richer flavor, although I have noticed that if the heat is too high, it does start to decrease flavor after a certain point, and I suppose that point really depends on the particular ejuice.

I'm starting to realize that one's preference for thick or thin vapor is just another preference in the continuum of vaping -- clearo or carto, RTA or RDA, tobacco or sweet stuff, eRoll or eGo or "big honkin mod" -- whatever works to help a person stay free of smoking, that's the right thing for them!

I sort of need a little bit more vapor than smoke, and I know for sure I'm not satisfied when I can't see any vapor at all.

Yeah, I've fooled around with extremely high PG levels, because of my problems with VG, but when the PG level is more than 80%, the vapor is so thin, I really don't feel satisfied with it. Lately I've been pretty happy with 75PG/25VG, but I still seem to need my inhaler more often than I did when I smoked. No idea why, really, but I'm thinking I might try edging the PG up just a tad more, maybe to about 78%, and see if that makes enough vapor to keep me satisfied, while hopefully giving my lungs less trouble.

I may be one of those unfortunate people who really has no business inhaling anything but air and my asthma inhaler, but considering the extreme hold that smoking had on me, I figure vaping is definitely the lesser evil, and maybe over time, with more healing, my lungs will handle vapor better than they do currently.

Do I NEED big coulds of vapor? No, not at all.
Do I WANT big clouds of vapor? Hell yeah! I love watching it plume out and cover my computer screen or whatever is in front of me. Don't get me wrong, I am not cloud chasing by any means, but I just love the taste and the feeling I get when I get a good cloud. For me, vaping with a RDA on a mech is similar to smoking a hookah or a cigar, whereas smoking with a tank and VV/VW APV is like a standard analog.
