That you vape more than you used to smoke? I was never a heavy smoker but I loved smoking. Now most free moments at home I vape. I'm only on 12mg or lower juice but I do get comments from the Misses saying "you haven't put that thing down since you got in from work" .

I think part of the attraction is that I love creating big clouds of vapour as well as it doesn't taste like a ... or smell like one.

Welcome to ecf, Guernica! Yeah, I found that I vaped a bit more than I smoked, when I first began vaping -- but I mostly vape at 3mg, so it's all good :). How long have you been vaping? Could be the novelty; could be that nic takes a little longer to get into your bloodstream (and up to the nic receptors in your brain) with vaping. As long as you don't fog up the living room, I suspect "the Misses" is happy you aren't smoking!

The word "more" is misleading. You would have to relate the amount of nicotine inhaled as a valid comparison. My guess is that a "hit" off a cigarette contains much more nicotine than one off a PV. When I smoked a pack a day I could equate that to vaping three times as much to get the same amount of nicotine. I'm guessing one has to vape much more than smoke to get the same effect. Yes, many vape more than they smoked, but get similar results.

"drunkenbatman? This is one of your better angels. He comes from a different culture, where that word means something different and he means no harm by it. You both can't really be indignant about it, nor listen to the other shoulder that really, really wants to make an offensive joke by interpreting his words in ways he didn't mean, because then you'd be using that word in a way you'd find offensive. Instead, you should just answer his question."

Hey mate! I think that's pretty normal, especially if you normally smoked outside and now can basically vape anywhere. Cigarettes also hit your blood stream in a very different way. From memory, it can take 35min of vaping 18mg eliquid to get the nicotine levels a cigarette gives you in a few minutes.

I figure for the most part if you aren't making yourself ill from chain vaping, and it keeps you off the stinkies, have at it. A lot of people find they sorta settle down after awhile once the novelty wears off, then chain vape again when they drop nicotine levels, then settle again. The novelty of the flavors can also be a good distraction from the other rituals of lighting up that have gone away. :)

I don't/didn't get very concerned with how much I vape. As was said. there is little relation. I think, myself included, that vaping lets a lot of nicotine escape before it is ingested.

At first, I just wanted to know if vaping would get me the nic that I needed. It did and I got confidence. The other "habits" associated with vaping did not really change. I still vaped first thing in the morning, on breaks, driving, after eating and that is okay. I got rid of all of the other chemicals and I was not white-knuckling it.

Over time, I have slowly reduced my nic. When I drop to a lower level ,I vape more for a bit, but then I settle into my old routines. I try not to leave my vaporizer in direct line of sight so I go by urges.

It is a hobby for me, so I am interested in "tinkering" and tasting. That just replaces my normal vaping at that moment. When I do tinker it is of some value like coiling better or trying flavors.

I just go by the moment and lean towards just my urges.

I started on an e-cig with pre filled cartomisers (may not be the right word) which I didn't really like that much as the flavours weren't that great. Then moved onto a mates tank atomsier and now I'm on the iStick 20W and Nautilus mini combo. I just find myself using it a lot more because I can use it in the living room and don't need to go outside. Since moving onto the Nautilus I find I got through juice a lot quicker but then that may be because the device burns through it more and i can turn the power up.

I just started vaping and have a hard time putting this lovely thing down. I want to hang my vape on a lanyard around my neck so I can always keep it with me, sort of a like a baby's pacifier.

I thought about getting one of those myself. Do they make'em for the little square mvp's? Or are they just for the long round rigs? I have a hard time putting it down as well. I think my vap counter went over 300 puffs yesterday...lol. Love it!

I enjoy being able to vape anywhere I like. Nice after so many years of going outside in the inclement weather . I have added Vitamin D supplements to make up for the lack of sun. I feel like I spend more time vaping than I did when I smoked. I suppose it is more of a security thing with me because if it is not in my hand. . . is tucked in my bra.

ahh yes you have just answered another concern of mine!! I was ALWAYS outside, smoking and hanging out and drinking coffee whenever I was not working I was outside... I used to say I as catching some rays... (we all know I was just smoking as much as I could get away with before I had to come back inside and abstain) even in winter, summer no matter what the weather unless there was no cover from the rain... now I worry about my lack of sunshine since I don't go outside anymore unless I am taking my puppy for a walk or to the toilet hahahaha!! I am definately going to have to add some vitamin D to my daily diet.

Vaping is not smoking. So that's like asking "Do you find you eat more oranges that you used to ride a bicycle?" Non sequitur.

WOW you must have quite smoking cigs a long time ago to be in that mind frame.......it almost sounds like the people that tell me " you might have stopped smoking cigarettes but your still inhaling nicotine....ya well the whole point is that I inhale 3000 less far nastier chemicals....Get two battery's and chain vape your brains out !!
