i found myself doing that everytime now when i get one out of the can. i fluff it like a pillow. i then flatten it just a bit and then insert the pouch. i dont know why

Yes me too except for the wedge shaped ones which I just press down the corners of. And Grov Svart (black) which I leave alone 'cos they're usually very hard packed anyway and they tend to go slimy pretty fast if broken up.
