Do you get charged Customs/Vat when ordering from Europe

Can anyone tell me whether they have been stung for import duties or Vat when ordering a Precise from Super T for delivery in Europe ??
I have noticed that there is about a $50 price difference on the UK Vendors Website,which I assume is VAT ??
