I wanted to get a new sub-ohm tank tonight, though I've had no problems with the artic the past 6 months I've recently run into some problems with it, the ohms kept jumping on me sometimes which was annoying, so I figured I'd check out a new tank. I chalked it up between the UWELL Crown and the Smok TFV4. I get to the vape shop and the guy instantly recommended the TFV4 when I asked what is in your opinion the best sub-ohm tank out now. So I went for it.. Brought it home tonight, vaped her at 45 watts which is normall what I keep my artic at... The thing shines brightest at 80-85 watts.. same wattage I vaped most of my RDA's at. The tank puts out just as much vapor as any RDA I've seen. Dripping becomes a hassle after a while and I think the only argument left is flavor. I guess there is also the whole hobby side of building as well.. but in terms of vapor, it seems like tanks on own par, and almost there with flavor as well. What do you guys think?

Yes. Scientists predict an asteroid will hit the earth, wiping out all the RDA's. RTA's will be evolved enough to survive the event. Vaping before the event will be called the Driptonian era.

I will always favor rebuildables...rda, rta, whatever. I just don't like paying for replacement coils (yes, I'm cheap). Frankly, if I can't rebuild it, I won't buy it (If you rebuild it, they will come).

That being said, I would rather have a rebuildable tank than a pure dripper, and I could live without dripping. I doubt that I will ever buy another dripper, but I'm glad I have them just in case of the apocalypse.

and I'm the other way around. I can't build tanks for %$# but I love my drippers! RDA's ain't goin' anywhere..:)

I don't think they'll ever be gone. Harder to find but not gone. Locally most newer vape shops aren't even carrying them and older stores are clearing them out.

For flavor several tanks are already better then RBA's, notably the Chutulu and Aromamizer, but for chucking cloudz and ease of use I can't see ever stopping using them.

Im just the opposite, Im using my tanks less and less every day, and could`nt even think of not having a powerful dripper to really "give it to me". :?)

At this point I could definitely live without the tank, but don`t take my dripper away. LOL, That would have been great Zeppelin song, don`t take my dripper away........

No way, cloud chasing and vape tricks has become an actual sport in which they use RDAs, no sub ohm tank could produce what you need for that, also the whole rebuilding is a part of vaping as much as anything. Its a hobby within itself, people make exotic and crazy builds, some even call it an art form. I mean i first started vaping to stop smoking, but now it has become a whole new obsession. I mean most of these forums are the result if RDAs, ppl getting started and discussion of how to evolve. Shopping for batteries, new mods, magnets, tubes, boxes, building coils, seeing what RDA can produce the most flavor, clouds, coil room. Its a whole section by itself within the vaping community. Just my :2c:

I've said it before, but I've found drippers way way easier to build on and get excellent results. Tanks can be done, they're just not as easy or versatile. Now, if I can't drip I don't vape. It's a hassle I'm willing to put up with for excellent flavor.... and because I'm so lazy, I vape less lol.

Not only are they easier to build but easier to maintain. You don't have so soak in everclear overnight if you decided to vape something like cinnamon. I switch flavors too much to use a tank. You also can't take your tank in a shop to sample flavors in search of a new juice.

Started out on tanks, moved on to RTAs and then to RDAs and now I run three mechs with Mutation X V3s on each in my daily rotation and have no interest in looking any further.

I still have a couple Lemo 2s wicked up but haven't touched them in weeks.

Factory coils will never be as good as a nice build on a Genesis attie, an RDA, or a bottom fed squonk setup...I'll keep buying re-buildables from folks rushing to get the newest, latest and greatest whatever they are tossing out into the marketplace this or next week...

Before I actually had my first mod years ago I used to think dripping was this foolish archaic process, at that time it was simply something that I couldn't wrap my head around. No way it was good enough to necessitate dripping individual drops of liquid onto a wick every couple of minutes. Prior to purchasing my first RDA I was using genesis style tanks, which held 3-5ml of juice and I would pretty much endlessly pull on it all day long without stopping, it wasn't until I realized that dripping was a better simulation of smoking for me that I decided to give an RDA a try. Now I'm glad to admit that I couldn't have been more wrong about pretty much every aspect of dripping. More flavor, more control, more satisfaction.

Tank systems cause me to go through too much juice as they don't really simulate the smoking experience timetable, with smoking I would have to stop, get one out of the pack, light it and then be done when it goes out. With a tank system I found myself constantly vaping on it, almost endlessly throughout the day. Dripping helps give me the smoking timetable as I'm able to get my juice, get my mod, drip a little and then vape it until it's dry at which point I can decide to continue or put it back down, there's a decided break during the activity which helps my mind ease away from pretty much constantly sucking on a vape.

Bottom fed dripper just sounds wrong, I think they should be called squirters.

Squonker :)

I tried a couple of tanks earlier this year and I was not impressed. They might be better now, but I'm not into vaping at 80 watts, 40 is my sweet spot. If I'm at home I drip. If I take a mod with me when I leave the house it's a squonker.

No, RDAs will never go extinct :)
