Do you guys use your e-cigs in public?

Thanks for this link xander. I too live in VA and have been looking for something like this when I've been confronted a few times about my PV. I'll also take a copy of this to my boss to show to his bosses as the campus I work on has no set policies on PV's.

However, this is almost 3 years old. I wonder if there has been an update to this?? Gonna have to check it out.

UPDATE: Just sent an email to the AG office to see if this was still current policy. Will update again when they respond.

I would be interested in knowing if it has been updated. If you would, shoot me a PM once you get an answer, if you don't mind. I may not remember to check this thread for some reason.

I usually vape only where smoking is permitted. I do not hide it at all but try to be as courteous about it as possible. I vape around my brother (a former heavy smoker and now a dipper) in our van and the smell of some of my favorite tobacco juices bothers him. He asks me to roll the window down. Also, the vape can be slightly irritating to sensitive eyes (mine included) especially in a closed area. I do vape in my office but not while others (who are not vapers or smokers) are in there.

I guess I'm like a lot of others and will vape where smoking is allowed but I'll stealth vape in places from time to time. I work in retail so if I only have a couple minutes, or if it's really cold out, I'll hit the break room or the bathroom. I'm a huge wuss when it comes to the cold. lol I have vaped in the bar that I occasionally go to and they have no problems with it but haven't spent enough time elsewhere to be tempted.

Ill be honest I got fancy stuff that works great but I can't use it when I'm out on Friday nights. I use a cig a like just because I feel awkward. More of a weakness of my mind but it is what it is. As soon as I'm in my car it's provari/hellfire time though lol.

The only place I ask is in restaurants, and then I ask if I can vape w/my 'Nicotine Inhaler'. Other than that I openly vape in public. The only way to get people to understand that it's NOT smoking is if they see it.

I pretty much vape anywhere. The only exceptions to that rule are when I see young children that I don't know. Simply because I don't think the parents are equipped to tell them what it is that I am doing. I don't vape at restaraunts for the same reason. I do at bars, shopping, walking, driving, at home, at friends houses etc. I don't go to movies anymore (those places are cold! and we usually end up sitting next to those jerks that tend to talk during the movie....Seriously?!?!). When I vape inside a public place, I don't do the HUGE plumes of vape, but not neccessarily stealth either.

If I act like I am doing something illegal, it will be percieved as an illegal activity. Most people will realize that this is OK because I treat it like it is OK. Because IT IS OK it is not illegal. Yes, you may run into the ANTZ type person but no matter what you do they aren't gonna like ANYTHING anyway.

I use it at my desk at work, my boss is aware as are my fellow cube farmers and they don't mind. Boss man said as long as the company doesn't make a policy and no one complains, that it's cool with him.

I take a drag every now and then when I'm in a store shopping. I don't chain vape on it though because I don't want to draw too much attention to myself, not just yet anyway. I'm a baby vaper so I'm still learning all the "ammo" when it comes to being confronted about it.

I try to be somewhat discreet but at the same time as a fellow vaper, I feel the obligation to help educate and promote so I timidly use it in public where even cigs were not allowed and where cigs were allowed Im pretty brazzen in my efforts hoping someone will ask me and if nothing else convert a smoker to a vaper!!

I do, I let other people try it too! I work where about 90% of us smoke. Maybe more. Some of them have thought about it, but I can't get any of them to commit! I'm trying though

I must confess to being a very lucky girl! Albuquerque is a really laid back city. Most often I get asked - Hey! Is that an ecig? When I answer yes, the next question is: So have you quit regular cigs? I'm honest when I say "just about". Random strangers have high-fived me at this point! Others have asked real info. seeking questions. I answer as best I can and then point them to this forum and the local vapor shop. I vape wherever I like w/ no neg. repercussions as yet. Oh - and yes...I have spotted many a fellow vaper out here.

I walked out of the mall today and a teenager was smoking. I pulled out my Provari with a big Phiniac tank and busted out a few vapes. His eyes got big, but he didn't ask any questions. I wonder if he thought it was a pipe bomb or something at first.

As former smokers, we all know there is a craving to smoke when you see other people smoking. I have vaped with permission from the management in no smoking restaurants, smokers see me and even if they know it's vape, they will try to sneak a cigarette and boom, management tells them it's not allowed. I find it funny when that happens.

I use my precise 18650 whenever I go out. It does get some strange looks but mostly nobody gives a second glance. My favorite place to use it in public is next to the mall kiosks after the clerk asks if I have ever used an ecig before. =)

I stealth vape constantly in public. I keep a clearo filled with ultamint 36mg juice so I can sneak a few toots when nobody is looking. The 36mg means I just need 1 or 2 to be satisfied for a while and it only smells like mints . .if somebody should happen to smell it (nobody has so far).

I enjoy going to the smoking areas to vape and have people asking about vaping. Allot of people want to quite , know they need to quite. So hopefully I can help them in the right direction.Even though my company does not have a policy on vaping we don't have a Material Safety Data Sheet for e-liquid. So I abid with their smoking policy.

e-cigs are fast gaining popularity here in the philippines. but there are reported incidents of e-cig owners blowing vapors inside restaurants, fast food chains, and even churches. always offended others, which led us to self-impose a rule: DO NOT VAPE WHERE YOU CAN'T SMOKE.
