I don't know if it's a nic-jones, but I still get the need for a "smoke break".

For example, last night was really busy (I'm a bartender) and after an hour or two of slinging drinks to 100+ people I got the need for a break. We allow smoking in our bar and my boss loves my PV, but I still wanted to head to the back alley for my 5 minute vape. I think more to get away from the noise and commotion than anything else.

I quit smoking analogs June 18th and haven't touched one since. I plan to eventually move to very low or 0 nic, but as long as I'm working in a stressful job I'm still going to need my "smoke break"

Noob here. I am out of cartridges and have not yet received my e-liquid from Dietsmokes or Totallywicked... I'm about to cross back over to analog. :(

If you still have your old cartridges there should be enough liquid in them to fill one or two cartridges. Just take all your filling and put it in a syringe (you can buy these at your local pharmacy, doesnt have to have a needle) then squeeze it out to refill!

smoked for over 35 years - with analogs i could not even get a drink of water first in the morning - i would have to roll a bugler and smoke it first - then i would smoke one before and after everything - i would smoke 3 or 4 before i got to work in the morning

now i can get up from bed - go get some water -make the coffee - and do just about anything i want - then when i feel like it i just lazily get the 510 or the 901 -

i always carry one with me when i go somewhere - but last week - i almost decided not to take one when starting to go out for dinner

i think i might be able to go somewhere without taking an ecig one of these days

i don't have that urge after meals or anything any longer

Ed Logic I feel your pain. I used to keep my analogs on my nightstand. The first thing in the a.m., before getting out of bed, when my feet hit the floor light up. Go to the kitchen, start coffee, light up. Grab the coffee, sit at the table, light up..... hmmmmm ... no wonder I have avoided more than 1600 analogs...lol!! This is GREAT!!!

Now I am actually done with my first cup before vaping

lol... I hit mine constantly. Love it too much. I live at a computer and got a USB passthrough for my my desktop, one for my notebook and one for my car with a USB adaptor for the cig slot. Then a kit to carry around with me.

I do sometimes not touch it for a while, and it does not bother me. But I love the taste too much to put it down for long.

And when the beer comes, well ye... Nuff said :)

DaBrat I feel YOU! I was the same kind of smoker as you. At this stage, I'm still using the PV like that too but hope to over come it....

Great question. I find that besides night time when I do most of my vaping that during the day I have substituted two or three breaths of vape for every analog I would have smoked before purchasing my e cigarette. Putting it in other words I smoked on average a pack of day taking on average perhaps seven or eight puffs which would be around 140 puffs on an analog a day. Now I take around thirty or forthy puffs a day using my Prodigy.

This just occurred to me and I am curious to know if I am the only one. I don't really jones for a vape at all. It's finally nice to feel that freedom. If I vape I vape if not I can go without it for hours. I couldn't do that with cigarettes.

Insightful question ProtoType. Ed Logic's post could have been mine, pretty much lived by and for the cig.

Your post put into words something that's been knocking around my brainpan but hadn't really clarified yet.

I don't crave the vape as I did the smoke. That's pretty cool.

Go to your local kwiky mart or smoke store & buy some Snus to hold you over. You also might consider putting at least your general location in your profile...There's plenty of people here that, if in a bind, would help each other out if they're local to them.

Rob

Wish I could ask someone for a loaner of e-liquid. I'm currently living in Okinawa Japan and having things delivered here takes quite a while. Waiting on almost 2 weeks now from stuff from dietsmokes.com and a little over a week from stuff from totallywicked-eliquid.com.

If you still have your old cartridges there should be enough liquid in them to fill one or two cartridges. Just take all your filling and put it in a syringe (you can buy these at your local pharmacy, doesnt have to have a needle) then squeeze it out to refill!

I am definitely going to try this. Thanks for the pointer.

I want to thank you all for contributing to this thread. I believe that it is not ONLY nicotine that succumbs us all to the powerful and harmful addiction to analogs. It is a mix of all the harmful chemicals in our body that makes our brains think that without them we will perish.

I hope that this thread may become a sticky at one point so that future testing and data/analytic studies may benefit from the testimonials of all that chosen to reply.

This is the best thing we have done in our lives from the worst thing we have done in our lives. I am sure we are all in agreement.

I have noticed that I don't 'jones' for a vape like I used to for a cig. It must be the other chemicals in cigs that caused the jonesing for me. I was at a seminar yesterday for several hours and when we took a break I didn't even go for the e-cig.

Yes framtiz, you are in just another one of "us" that feel the same way. It is beautiful, isn't it?

I am truly so happy to see myself and others around me finally free from the bound that big tobacco has had on us.

It may seem like this is some sort of controversial statement or thread created by anti-cigarette people, but I assure you that myself and others that replied are average citizens in the world seeking a healthier alternative from such an unhealthy lifestyle.

Anyhow, I would like to see this thread continue on because it does give value and reassurance of the benefits of electronic vaping over real cigarette smoking.

Thank you all.

Actually.... OP that is something that I came to the realization of... my body doesnt DEMAND nicotine now. After the first initial vape in the morning, I can kinda get away with just vaping in front of the computer, but when I am reading or writing..... I dont demand it as often.

I am kinda glad to know that I am the same way....

Though here is something else that I have noticed.... If I cant find my 901... I practically have a heart attack, and NEED to vape right then and there LOL!

Raven, I so agree. I'm not sure if I can do without the nic, but I think within a short amount of time I would and could with little problem. But, like you, if I'm without my device I almost panic. One thing I make sure I do if I'm out or about and even at home and may not be able to vape, I always have with me the committ (or off brand of them) lozenges and I can pop one of them in my mouth and feel OK. I haven't done that in a LONG time so I'm wondering if the nic in them might not be too much.
