No moochers, but I'm kind of a pusher. I have a couple of friends who are tentatively getting into vaping, and whenever I go over to their house, I'm all "you gotta try this!" *waves new juice bottle around enticingly*

yeah, even though I just quit smoking like 2.5 weeks ago, I kinda stopped hanging around smokers in the last year or so, and not living with any either. But I have thought about getting together with a buddy of mine who is like 15 years older than me and has smoked cigs for like 40 years! He smokes Newports, and I was thinking about hooking him up with a good menthol tobacco flavor e-liquid(if I ever find one that is!) and let him take some drags off my Ego with a cover over my T2 tip. Or maybe I'll bring my Torpedo VVV as well and let him use that for an hour or so.

What's the average price for a pack of cigs in the U.S. nowadays? For a decent brand it's $10-12$ here in Ontario Canada now.

Not exactly mooching but I bought E-Cigs kits for my daughter and her current squeeze and buy them juice when they run low.
If they stay off the real smokes I'm happy to have the "moochers".

I do that too.

What killed me though was that you could give these people smokes day in and day out thinking that one day when you needed a smoke, someone would hook you up, kinda a cigarette karma kinda deal, but it almost never worked out that way! These bums NEVER had smokes! There is no cigarette karma....

Yeah.... that always killed me. The one day I have none and no time to grab a pack and roll into work and wait and wait til break time and apparently everyone had planned on trying to mooch me.

At least he had a excuse wrong. Since I quit smoking all I have been advocating is my ecig. Still hang out in smoking area. The usual stuff but have been able to hope convert several others peeps.

I used to lend people little kits I put together and supplied them with my DIY juice. Not anymore. Those that are sincerely interested and ready will try it for an hour just to see if they think it'll work then will get the info they need to get their own.

Those that are just bums will bum what they can and smoke the rest of the time. I wasn't making any real difference in their lives. I don't mind helping someone. I do mind being used.

It's interesting that someone can be too broke to buy their own vaping supplies but can afford to spend hundreds on tattoos during the same time period. Nope. We each have to set our own priorities!

So in the same spirit, I try to do the same when I can...

I must point out that most of my vaping with others has been in the UK and Malta. I cant vouch for any other places...but I suspect it's about the same.

Yeah... the one meet up I was able to attend was a whole lot of people sharing juices etc. I came home with some colored O-rings someone was willing to gift me for my Zenesis, and a bottle of juice I liked from a second person, and had given a bottle of juice to a third that they loved. It was a bunch of people passing, trying, helping.... good times.

I don't know any moochers but I have given bottles of juice that I didn't like to my brother. I got him started vaping and so far I have been able to give him all of the juice I didn't like and he loved them. I feel like it didn't go to waste. And he has given me refills of juices he has that I like. So I see it as an even trade. It is nice to have family that vapes. We get along great and share whatever we have when we are in need.

I knew this guy a guy nicknamed Poochie too! At that same time, just a few apartments down, Poochie introduced me to one of his friends who's nick name was Pookie! They were both acquaintances to me, but I went to a couple parties where both were there and you'd hear people yelling Poochie or Pookie and not be sure who they were calling to.

How much is a roundtrip plane ticket from UK to Malta? Or do you have to fly to Sicily or Italy first, then on to UK? Weren't the people of Malta given the highest award for bravery for civilians by the Queen in WW2 for having withstood the Nazi bombardment for so long?

Are you able to find e-liquid sources in Malta, or do you have to mooch it?(see, I'm back to the OP subject)

I had someone walking by when I was vaping the cig look a like, tried to bum a cig and when I said I don't smoke....wowzers, called me every name you can think of. Like cigs were 'owed' to them from strangers.

I don't have any dealings with Moochers. If I did, I would tell them to piss off, cause that kinda stuff really bothers me.

My girl vapes too (we made the switch together from analogs), and we share, but she prefers to "steady vape" different flavors than me. It's kinda cool because I get double the flavors to choose from when I want something different.

There are a couple of people I work with who still smoke and I carry extra hardware at all times so I offer them to my analog buddies every time I get a chance. I have already converted one from my office and another co-worker is starting to talk about getting his own gear, so while I may give away some juice, I wouldn't classify this as mooching since I am offering. Of course, I figure the larger my circle of fellow vapers, the better for me since they will presumably expand my flavor horizons and do some of my research on new gear as well.

Hard to believe how many posters here don't know anyone in the real world who vapes! I have gotten three going in a few months (two partial, one quit analogs altogether) just by showing and offering, and one of my "converts" is the reason why I tried Gandalf for the first time. Recruiting new vapers is a fun activity to me that pays handsome dividends!

Nope, no moochers for me, but other than my wife I only run into vapers at the monthly meets. I bring bottles of juice I don't like, set em out on the table with FREE written on a napkin. They're gone within 2 hours.

Smoking, I didn't mind the moochers I knew because it wasn't too often, what really got me is the folks who offered a quarter. When a pack is 11$, a quarter aint gonna cut it sweetcheeks. Even worse...the ones that when you said, "Last one sorry" who then decided to just hang out with me and wait till I was done for "the kill". Smoked those down to the filter.

No juice moochers yet since I don't have any friends who vape. But smoke moochers? Ohhhh yeah. My least favorite (besides street bums) were friends who "quit" smoking... and then took mine whenever I showed up.
