I finally got my dad who has been a 2 pack a day smoker for the past 30 years to give up analogs and to start vaping!!! i was worried he wouldnt wanna switch cause he didnt wanna quit he liked analogs but his wife who also is a big smoker figured out how much money they would save and they couldnt resist not buying a ecig

my step mom said her and my dad spend 110$ a week on cigarettes and now they are going to save over 3 grand a year by vaping

its such a good feeling when you get someone to switch to vaping my dad and step mom were my 3rd and 4th people who i helped quit smoking

sorry i am just excited and wanted to let everyone on here know its possible to get others to switch just have to be patient and not force them to try it.

what i did was had my dad and step mom over to my house for dinner when it was snowing and i was vaping inside and they had to go out in the cold to smoke so i offered them my e cig insead of going outside and they loved it i thought i would never see my mod again lol!!!!

Good for you! And good for your dad and step-mom! You could also remind them how much they will save on heating bills from not letting all that cold air in every time they step out for a smoke!

I know the feeling well. My youngest sister is now on this journey and is smoke free. With the help of an ECF friend I am now working to get my oldest sister to join us. It is such a wonderful feeling knowing that you have helped to add healthier years to a loved ones life.

That's great! It feels really good helping someone quit smoking that you love and care about.

If they have smart phones they should download the app called Vapemate(it's free). It keeps track of all the money that they save by vaping. It also keeps track of the cigs not smoked.

Keep letting them know how proud you are.

I must have gone 8 months before I was able to convert anybody to vaping from smoking. Here in the last couple of months I've gotten a few people to buy a mod as their first vaporizer. People have to be open minded and ready to take the big step to stop smoking.

It's so easy to smoke; just light up and go. Using an e-cig is work, requiring some research, education, getting the right gear and juice that fits their needs, and staying on top of having both juice and charged batteries available at all times.

I'm heading over to my parent's house tomorrow with some supplies and different flavors to let my dad have a go at this instead of smoking.

Hopefully my luck is as good as yours.

I have been trying to get my mother to do it. Ive even offered to keep her supplied with filled cartos and all she would have to worry about is charging a battery. She's 61 and not very tech savy. Even though I showed her if she can fill a zippo she can fill a carto!

Every time I go out to the pool hall I have folks asking about it. I would love for my gentleman friend to convert - I'm not pushing, though, just encouraging... I think he'll switch... just a matter of time hehe!

We were out of town during the holidays at a cabin with family...I vaped the whole time inside and on the trip there and back and the smokers had to go outside and stop to smoke. No brainer really!!!
