Since I started vaping and enjoying this wonderful community I've always felt as if something was missing.

I've wanted to create something that could be a great asset to the community as a whole, and would give individuals a better outlet for their creative juices.

I've also wanted to create something that would more easily help non-vapors understand what vaping is and the issues behind it.

Today I am opening up the door to my new pet project Vapetastic.com. It is to act as an article site that really anyone can submit an article to. The kinds of articles I'm looking for are:

• reviews (however I'm not looking for a review of every juice in existence )
• Experiences / stories related to pv's and ecigs
• How-to's
• Overviews of things like the current legality of them
• Opinions
• Organizations that are related to the niche and their purpose, updates, etc...

Really as long as it has to do with the pv / ecig niche, I want it. You can check out the submission guidelines here. I can not guarantee just because you submit an article that you will be published on the site or in a future product, my concern is quality rather than quantity. Depending on the levels of submissions, and the amount of time I have to actually read them, will dictate what makes the cut and when.

I will also take video submissions however the actual guidelines for them (and proper release forms) are not yet completed.

Although you will not be paid for any articles submitted (unless I decide to bring you on as a writer), I do have plans in the works for another related project that I hope I will be able to bring key contributors on as paid writers.

He's looking for articles without the socialization aspect of ECF. Just raw knowledge.

There's several people who contribute blogs off site to the E-Cig world, and (of course) there's youtube for everyone under the sun to slap up a video.

Good luck with your project, Rage....and I gotta ask: Where in Wis are ya? I've got a group of vapers that meet regularly in the southern part of the state (Madison and Milwaukee areas) - and I mod the Cheddar Curtain here on ECF.

Sounds interesting, rage. I know the idea of a vaping zine has been thrown around, but haven't seen anything come to fruition so far.

I think this would be better than the forum. You have to dig and read and read to find out everything you need to know. If this was put in a format that was easily read it would be great.

This is my thought. Also, people whom may not really know much about the subject are not as likely to come to the forum to dig for info, the forum is more of a social atmosphere.

If some of you are a little bashful about not being good writers I can have someone go over and edit your article. In fact I'd probably have an editor go over pretty much every article.

How about looking thru this site and asking those that have already written fantastic posts if you can use their posts for your site?

I think every conceivable aspect of vaping has been covered many times from many different perspectives.

I know that, for me, it is easier to answer questions generated from posts than to come up with articles on a subject out of the clear blue.

I understand that because it's an organization that that would be pretty difficult to get rights of first publication. In that instance it wont be an issue.

In fact because it's a press release I don't see how I could get in trouble for publishing it as it's public domain right?

If you've tried to access the site or email me in the last few days you'd probably notice the site was down. The site is back up and running but may not be accessible everywhere, but should be within 12 hours or so as the dns propagates across the web.
