Do you prefer dripping, or clearos/tanks?

depends on the situation for me. On the go and work, my protanks on a cheap china mech. At home, it's dripping on a nimbus, cant be beat. On a night out, kayfun. To me the kayfun is the perfect gennie, best of all worlds. No leaks, great flavor, silica wick, ss tank, and produces big clouds. Only things about it its a juice hog and dam pricey.

Anyone else on the evod? what do you think?

Oh boy. Two hands is barely enough but where there's a will, there's a way. With a pair of "helping hands" (Radioshack), a heavy atomizer stand and a lot of patience, it might be doable, though probably frustrating and difficult. Some atomizers have guide holes for the wires, instead of having to "trap" them under a screw head while tightening down (difficult for me). You can also get pre-wound coils from some vendors. Ultimately, maybe clearos are the better option.

I've been eyeballing an AGA T2 recently, but I'm looking for a tank that I can use silica wicks in. I really don't wanna go through the trouble of oxidizing stainless steel mesh every time I want to make a new wick and coil yet. Nor do I even know where to start reading about that. Anyone got a recommendation for a good rebuildable tank that uses or can use silica?

The AGA-t+ or 2 can be used with silica wicks. That's what the extra post and screwholes are for.

Yes! I'm still having a great time with the evod. The flavour, draw and vapor production are all right up my alley. It has a couple of drawbacks but there's no perfect atomizer system yet.

Nice Provari. I've dabbled just a little bit with dripping, but it seems to be mostly a pain. I have the 510 bridge, another one that's bridgeless, with a sealed adapter, plus a drip shield, and it seems like nothing but a big mess. I can't seem to get good vapor or flavor, and I get a lot of juice sprayback, and that's if I'm only using 4-7 drops. Plus, cleaning seems to be a pain, too. I'd like to figure out the best way to do it, simply for trying new juices (I buy a lot of them, and I'm tired of having to toss brand new clearos because the flavor sucked). I would love an HH .357, but I'm not on the market for an expensive atty until I figure the technique out. Any suggestions??

you throw away a brand new clearo "because the flavor sucked"? how about cleaning them and/or putting in a new coil? simple ,easy, and a lot cheaper than tossing away. it seems instead of juice you are vaping $!!

I have used cartos, clearos, and BCCs, and nothing compares to dripping. I currently have and Igo-L on top of an EA Mod with 2mm wick and 2 coils wrapped in parallel. The flavor delivery is beyond anything that I have tried this far.

I've found myself only liking cartos with mostly 5/6ml tanks.

I like the convienent way to refill and forget for a couple days.



I've been trying dripping 510 atomizers with some success.

Clearo's give a bad taste, don't like the tiny strands of silica anymore..... Even though an ego type PV from HotVapes got me completely off of analogs in two weeks, along with their menthol crystal based menthol liquid. Great stuff!!!!!


I have a couple RdA tanks, AGA-T+ and a AGA...... I build the wicks and coils perfectly but the menthol crystal based menthol fries and always gives me a burnt taste. So no joy with those as of yet.

........ Just can't find any good flavors from any good dealers yet to get off or just have others juice flavors. Nothing I've tried is good like the menthol. So far all the flavors I've tried from local vape shops have weak flavors and they get angry when I say I can't taste it, haha!

I have really only used tank systems or Carto Tanks. I dripped once with a simple 510 bridged atty and got nothing but juice in my mouth. I know it was user error but I haven't had the chance to try again. I am really thinking about trying the Igo-L. I have tried RBA's and have never found a clearo or carto that tasted like the vape from an RBA. I know the IGO-L is an RDA but everything I have seen about it points to great flavor and plumes of vapor. I also like the reservoir on the bottom and it seems easy to rebuild. (I dont like the whole mesh thing with the Genesis RBA's.) So with that I am thinking very seriously about giving dripping a go again.

I enjoy both dripping-rba's and pyrex glass carto-tanks. Each have their advantages/disadvantages but I mostly drip because I can customize my vaping experience. I've built my rba for warm, full-flavored, throat-hitting vapes with a good amount of vapor production. Very airy for mouth drags. Semi-airy for lung drags. I like taking slow lung-hits until the vapor gets nice and warm. *takes a vape* mmmm... and you can switch flavors on the fly. Keep a small hand torch in your tool set. Old juice--even strong heavier flavors--can be burned off and your wick/coils are pretty new again.

When I'm driving I only use the pyrex tank. Dripping and driving is extremely unsafe. I would NOT risk it. The Provari crackles enough for a strong throat hit so I'm satisfied either way. Pyrex handles all kinds of juices so I'm not worried. Refilling it isn't a chore. I can refill it in less than a minute w/o any special tools.

I do prefer rba's but based on where I am or what I am doing decides which style I use.

I guess I'm lazy, but I spend a lot of time in the car, so my tank works great. I love the top-coils in my iclear 30, plenty of room in the wicks so even with 75%pg I get a good liquid feed. I do have to keep it pretty full, but it's worth it for the ease of one-handing.

Is that an octopus RDA on a vamo in your avatar pic? I have a vamo and ordered an octopus that should be here tomorrow. Super excited to try it. But a little nervous about learning curve and re-building.

I have 2 Octopus's (Octopi?) and love em. I also bought an Optimus, also by Smoktech, I believe. It's about the size of the Squid, but it's three pieces, and has lots of air holes with adjustable air flow. I also like the new Raven's Nest carto tank from GotVapes.
