Do you prefer tobacco flavored e-liquid or NET tobacco e-liquid?

...didn't come here to get schooled in the evils of WTA or anything. ...merely asking if extracted tobacco flavoring could contian WTA. I'll accept "negligible" as one possible answer and leave y'all to your theology matters. Thank you.

Forgive me for coming off the wrong way. I was not trying to "school" you, though I could have used a less didactic approach, I was attempting to provide some information for you and for those that pass by. Many people have the idea that WTA is bad and it would be misguided to associate NETs with it. I vape WTA, NET and regular juice, I only think the "evils" are in combustion.

That's good but it aint got nuttin on my NET mixes ;) but I'm not setting up any shop that would make it lose the fun in my opinion,,, and I must admit it's what really made me do this, I've been wanting to do it for over a year and once I tried that fresh Canadian Virginia Flue cured leaf, I new right where I was going, Gawd bless that leafonly website they've got some seriously good fresh leaf and each has its own special flavor,, oh and mixing the Canadian Virginia Flue cured with some Burley is a wonderful thing,,,, and the sweet Bright leaf with a tad of Burley is another good thing,,,,,,,, and adding just a pinch of the Nicaraguan Seco cigar into the mix, is just over the top. I cant believe more people aren't all over this technique and finding ways to make it even better is even more fun :)

Mr. Mann, that's just impossible, you couldnt do anything Bad :)

Man, you are really enticing me here!

WHAT???? Hell No! About what? If you're talking about the technical information about the WTA/NET/extracted thread, it was very comprehensive and informational. You did fine.

Thanks. The only reason I even brought up nicotine is because nicotine is an alkaloid. I will always try and make the point that NET and WTA are not the same thing at all. Going into detail is clearly needed, though I feel Rolygate or DVap is much better suited to explain. Thanks for the vote of confidence, HM.

I've been making some NET's at home, preparing the leaves and putting them in a bottle then putting in my Nic/PG/VG Base and loving this technique, and the different freshly cured Tobacco leaf flavors are outstanding in my opinion. I've also been doing a little experimenting with using this as a base to make some other juices and adding some other flavors and additives, all of it has been turning out extremely well. I rarely purchase vendor made juice and I wont be buying vendor juice any longer myself with how nice this experiment has been moving forward. Either the straight tobacco NET or using it as my base with some flavor added is covering my vaping needs and some. Cheers & vape on :)

So what is your leaf source? Can you buy relatively small quantities of tobacco leaf, or are you buying ready made tobacco products like cigars, etc, and extracting directly from them?

I remember watching a video of one guy extracting juice from tobacco leaves with isopropyl alcohol, and a few years ago before even being aware of e-cigs, I watched another person extracting using acetone. I think I'd avoid those 2 chemicals while extracting anything that I plan on consuming later on! I know that you are supposed to adequately evaporate the solvent, but all it takes if for a beginner(like me or anyone else) to mistakenly stop the evaporation process to soon, and end up ingesting solvent. I dont think its likely I'd make that mistake, but I'm not willing to risk it!

Besides, if isopropyl alcohol can be used as solvent, then cant grain alcohol be just as effectively used?

I think you've handled that back and forth with nothing short of dignity and respect for anyone who took your comments out of context.

I buy real whole cured tobacco leaf ONLY,,,, and dont use either of the 2 chemicals you speak of HighlanderNorth

Yeah, I was under the impression that you were using standard diluents like PG or VG to extract, or grain alcohol. I was just pointing out that I had watched youtube videos of other people using acetone and isopropyl alcohol. If you know what you are doing, those are 'probably' acceptable methods, and I'm sure they have been used for a long time. My point is that I just dont think its a good idea for people on youtube to push these methods on people who arent experienced. They should probably make it a point to warn beginners NOT to try those methods til they have learned some basic science and until they truly understand the risks. Because there's always that possibility that noobs might stop the evaporation process too soon and leave some solvent in the final product.

By the way, how long does it take you to do a full extraction and what do you use? Is there a 'fast-track' method for the impatient?

I gotta say that at first I was all for tobacco or menthol tobacco flavors because in my mind I liked the tobacco I was smoking in my analogs. I can't seem to find one that I really like besides one that I got as a "gift" from a vendor. I ordered the same this g against. From them a d its way different from what he gave me. I won't say who but, if you follow my posts you'll find out who it was. Anyways, if I had to say what tobacco flavors I dig, I've tried rawr vapors jy4 and its pretty cool.

It may just need to steep? Strange that a vendor would send the same juice twice and it be totally different, but I guess it could happen.

Very good thread btw, but alas no one has really answered the OP's original questions so I'll give my 2 cents:

So, I am wondering 1. how close the NET e-liquids taste to real tobacco, and 2. whether people here who who like tobacco e-juices prefer either a NET flavor or a non-NET flavor to their tobacco juices? 3. I just ordered the 4 pack sampler from HHV, are Huntsman and DarK Horse good? 4. Which NET flavors do you prefer?

1. I've vaped NET and non-NET, albeit from a small sample of vendors thus far. I can't taste much tobacco in either. All I really get is their "enhancement" flavorings. Perhaps this is done because straight tobacco extracted and vaped tastes like ..., perhaps not. I really don't know, but it is frustrating to order juice that I want to taste like tobacco, and I can't taste any tobacco. I don't want cigarette taste, gave that up 3 years ago. I would prefer something more like the taste of snuff or chew, or something that "tastes" like a pipe or cigar smells when smoked, I just don't know how doable that is. Apparently it is either difficult to do, or most people don't like it if it is done that way.

2. Can't say which I prefer really, as I can't taste the tobacco. I can say that I hate anything that tastes like it was made in a laboratory. I much prefer natural flavorings in general, so I guess that would probably apply to any tobacco flavorings as well.

3. Huntsman and Dark Horse are quite good. Two of my more favorite ones I got from them, I just don't taste a whole lot of tobacco.

4. HHV is about all I've tried for NET, and I did like them. Whether or not they will make it into my everyday vape rotation, I don't know. I still have a lot of liquids to try.

You should try Want 2 Vape, Vapenstein, GoodeJuice (House Brewed), Ahlusion's Aromatic (Premium Line). I really dig HHV, but they do have some other stuff going on in most of those Purity juices, even though they say it's straight tobacco. (I just wish they would tell me more.) You WILL taste tobacco in the others and it won't taste like ***, it will taste like an ...ortment of tobacco goodness.
