Do I love steeping NO
Do I love unsteeped juice that needs steeping NO
do I love good steeped juice YES YES YES

Couple things
1 I shake them when I get them then every here and there and before each use
2 Many vendors use alcohol in there process so its good to leave Capps off over night unless the vendor says otherwise
3 steeping is really just letting it sit giving time for the flavs to blend and come out
I use this as more of a guide then a hard rule also ask in threads where they talk about a juice you are about to try
but I find simple flavs are usually good right away
med complex fruits and candies 1 week
more complex 2 weeks
Naturally extracted and complex tobacco's 1 month

there are some that presteep like halo and ahlusion has an express line

Keep it out of direct sunlight, room temperature. First 24 hours: shake. take the caps and dripper tips off, let sit 24 hours. Next day, replace dripper tips and caps, SHAKE. Let sit. Then SHAKE daily. Wait a week, test juice. If ready -- vape away. If not, continue to steep.

If one doesn't steep, don't come to the forums complaining that ones juice doesn't taste good. Juices that are mixed to order usually need steeping.

Yep, I see that a lot. People who say steeping isn't necessary, or it is a waste of time....and then they don't understand why so many e-liquids they try don't taste good to them.

Steeping is not a matter of personal preference. It is not opinion on whether or not it works. It is a FACT that the taste of e-liquids CHANGES as they mature.

Some e-liquids do not require steeping, that is true.

However, MANY e-liquids REQUIRE it. In other words....if you do NOT steep them....you are not getting the actual flavor it is supposed to have.

The more complex an e-liquid is, and often times the more VG it has in it (because thicker juice takes longer to mix evenly), the longer it might take to steep.

Common issues with non-steeped juice:

1) Soapy Taste
2) Alcohol taste
3) Flowery / Floral taste
4) muted / subtle/ non-existant flavor
5) Only one flavor of the mix being present
7) Uneven flavor

So if you don't steep, and you've noticed any of the above, now you know why :)

My android forum app doesn't have a like link, so ill just quote your post and say "like, like, like, like"

MY favorite and most effective method to steep? I no longer order juice from vendors with nasty juice. Works every time.

Yep, I'm definitely a steeper. Like others, I have so many juices that it doesn't bother me when I have to shelve one for a few days/weeks. Sure, I think about that flavor that I've been wanting to try, that is just sitting there untouched... but I'm pretty good about moving on to something else and forgetting about it for a while.

Delayed gratification, or deferred gratification, is the ability to resist the temptation for an immediate reward and wait for a later reward. Generally, delayed gratification is associated with resisting a smaller but more immediate reward in order to receive a larger or more enduring reward

Yeah, I don't really know how to feel about steeping.. every juice that I hated on day 1 never became magically better a week, or a month down the road. I think the changes with steeping are subtle at best... like how beef stew tastes a little better the second day.. but it still tastes like beef stew on day 1. I have noticed a few juices getting worse over time though... they were better fresh and now they don't pack the same punch. Kinda sad about that because I bought big bottles of these.

I'm very new to all this, but I've heard/seen several ways to steep, if it's necessary or not, etc. Open the bottles, let sit, close 'em up, shake, put away for awhile...or how about sitting bottles in warm water to "speed" the steeping process. All very confusing. I appreciate what jefsview said, but I'm still confused/uncertain about how to go about it. If warming the bottles works faster, why not?

Yea, but nasty juice has nothing to do with steeping....

If the juice is nasty, it will be nasty whether you vape it right out of the mail, or wait a year.

Like I said, MANY eliquids have one or more of the issues I mentioned before steeping, which make the liquid unenjoyable. After a good steep, the eliquid could end up being your everyday vape. Happens all the time to me.

My experience as well. Those juices that i could not stand right from the mail NEVER got better, while quite a few that i loved right from the mail lost their luster from sitting too long. Now if i like them i order more, and if i don't i move on. I have no time to steep around. Best to order samplers and go from there.

I was a huge steeping skeptic. Since we are not heating or otherwise altering the molecular structure of the juice (beyond shaking), I did not see how steeping worked.

However, I received an order of juices from Alhusion and they were almost all not enjoyable right out of the package. After a good 6 days, there is a huge difference in the flavors.

I still don't believe any time over a week or so could possibly have an effect, but I could be wrong. I also think that juices made with natural extracts probably can and do change over time, as opposed to artificial flavoring.

:D Baby steps, Madison, baby steps. :)

One to three weeks is a good average "requirement," with natural tobaccos and complex flavor blends needing more time than fruits or one-note juices. :)

I'm waiting on a bottle of Boba's Bounty. I've had it for three weeks. People tell me the magic happens after a month of steeping. I'm willing to wait and see.

Opinions about steeping seem to vary greatly. Some people swear by it, some people don't believe in it, and some people even get the opposite results. It's common knowledge that taste is subjective. Perhaps it's the same with steeping. I wonder if maybe some people can taste the difference that steeping makes and some people can't.

Just a thought that occurred to me but either way, I don't have the patience for it.

I was an anti-steeper until I ordered samples from AiV. Tried a little bit right away - no flavor. Let them steep a week and a half - much better. Now I'm coming back to the half-full bottles a month later - WOW. So good! As soon as I can afford my big order, I'll hide them in our 'storage' room (spare bedroom) for a month. Out of sight, out of mind, right? LOL
