in my opinion theres far too much packaging with ecigs...

its not good for the planet, and adds cost to the consumer in materials and shipping weight...

securely bubble wrapped parts sold cheaper, like Smokesters eco packs...thats really all thats required for internet ecig sales...and i wish more suppliers would adopt this,it would be better for everyone, and cheaper for us...

im sure most of us are more concerned with content and price than presentation in this case.

I think the prestentation boxes for Smokester's and pillbox's e-cigar and classic ecig are nice but they are too big especially when ordering more than one set when the eco packs are out of stock! It does feel rather nice picking up a large heavy jiffy bag with goodies inside tho! Lets hope that the presentation boxes turn into small cases we can actually carry around and make more use of!

more to the point asking seemingly innocent questions whilst carrying a prominent link to your suppliers website is in breach of the forum rules david.. or at least i think it is..

ask away.. just do it without the product link.. or joe.. change the forum rules.. and lets all spam away to our hearts content..

dragging up old posts used to be jumped on.. how come this kinda stuff isnt..

sorry guys but either we let suppliers blatantly promote their products in user forums or we dont..

Isn't is cheaper for you to buy if you do not need the box? If you think this is innocent post, you may do a pull, lets all buyers vote, they like a good box with higher price or the like an envelope with the same stuff at a cheaper price. Then we will know which post is innocent. I do not know how to do the pull. any one who know how to do this may kindly start. thanks.

it might well be innocent david.. but your product link makes every post you make product promotion in my book..

it seems common practice.. i think the rules need some clarification..

make a thousand posts promote your product a thousand times..

ps.. to answer your question.. a pretty box helps sell products.. but we will ship ours in a jiffy bag..

If I'm a supplier of these products, I'd do away with all the boxes because it saves money for me and also makes customs easier to pass cos you can have all the atomisers in one box and all the batteries in another one as well as the carts or liquid.

As a customer, i would want the box for novelty purposes and it makes me feel that the high price i paid is worth it...lol...

A good solution is to add a "without the fancy packaging" option on your website and give a discount when customer opts for that...

just my 2 cents...

edit: I agree with trog on his concerns on blatant advertising...I mght be a junior member but i also love this place and wanna give my 2 cents...I apologize if i'm off topic...

A lot of times, suppliers in this forum are easy to spot and their status is clear cut. They buy from manufacturers in China and resell to us. That is fine cos we know there are only a handful of manufacturers anyway.

When someone like David comes along (i'm sorry David, no personal attack intended. You have a good reputation here.), I believe its the responsibility of the powers of this forum to validate his claims of being a manufacturer. I know for a fact that many companies in China claims to be manufacturers but are in fact trading companies or at most just manufactures some of the housing for e-cigarettes. Every e-cig companies in China will claim that they are the original and everyone else rips off their products! This does not help the situation either.

This is important to protect consumers like us. Although no real harm is caused but i really wanna be sure of whom I'm buying from and i'm sure almost everyone feels the same and thats why we check the review section so frequently.

I don't know how exactly this validatio can and should be done....Its only my spur of the moment thoughts....No offence to anyone...If there is, i apologize in advance...

^ You hit the head right on the nail.

I'm really not sure saying the box is 70% of the cost is accurate. I'd be surprised to see if the box was more than 10% of the total cost.

i have some fancy boxes that look like they might actually cost more to produce than the product they contain.. he he

as general rule.. expensive small products come in big boxes.. the box adds "perceived" value to the product..

but being as i think the real purpose of this post was simply to promote davids business i think its all academic..

this place will soon be awash with fake users and product promotion tricks of all kinds..

honestly i would like to see the proof that fedor is asking about. i dont want in on any arguments but if he is an actual manufacturer it should not be hard to produce good hard evidence of it

Dude....where did this come from? Now, english is not my mother tongue but i never thought i was this bad....Has everyone else misunderstood me?

I never said I am a manufacturer....I am just a normal e-cig user like most ppl here. I have been e-smoking for around 6 months but am still quite an amateur as i've never even tried dripping.....Just the occasional dry smoking when my atomiser is really wet...hehe

Read my post again man....

Edit: oops...just realised that Shawn might not be talking bout me....Or is he? Anyways..I'm sorry if i misunderstood..
