Do you refill the KR808D cartomizers?

Where do you stand on refilling cartomizers?

  • I don't refill because of the hassle

  • I don't refill because of the taste

  • I refill and think the refills taste just fine

  • I refill and think the refills are inferior but OK

  • I refill and the savings outweigh any taste loss

  • I refill because I like to make my own flavor mixes

I use the Vapor 4 Life Vapor King KR808 system.

My second order to V4L was for juice. The financial win with refilling was too good to ignore. We figured that the juice came in at about $0.25 per fill.

The refilling hassle wasn't horrible. We tried all the different methods of refilling posted here. The "pop off the cap, drip directly to the fiber, spin, drip again, stand overnight" technique seemed the best. Certainly for the savings, it was well worth the hassle.

The thing is that the refills are decidedly inferior to the factory fills, in my (completely subjective) opinion.

So, what say you?

Yep, I'm a refiller. I refill early and often. While they may not be as good as new, they're good enough for 3-6 refills. Washing/refilling also gives me the opportunity to try my own mixes, and VG juice when I feel like it. I've gotten to the point that I no longer replace the white end cap, I instead snip a hole in a carto condom and use that. Makes refilling a bit easier.

I refill - after my first experience using a syringe to refill last night, I am sold on that method. Quick and easy (I still pop the top so I can see what I am doing).

I voted for the "I refill and the savings outweigh any taste loss" option, as the savings are probably the predominant reason I do it. But for the most part, I think the refills taste fine. I typically refill flavored cartos with the same or similar flavor, and use blanks to refill with other juices.

Mr. Puff - I agree. And I'll go one step further and say that I really dislike polls that are heavily biased and slanted. At least it's brutally obvious. A disguised bias is much worse...

Hey, live and learn. I actually agree in retrospect that the poll does have a bias. Certainly not my intention.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

I am with pianoguy on this one. I am new to the carto world but, I have mine and refill using the syringe. And prefer this method. Use like flavors that blend well or just the same named juice as they are "close". It is a money saving option. Sometimes the flavor is there sometimes not-I think its our juice not the carto. Just my opinion.

I would vote fact over opinion on that one.;)

I didn't come down on you really hard because it's tough creating an unbiased poll, and yours didn't look all super-deliberate-biased. Numbers don't lie. Statisticians do. Lying with numbers is a whole career path I chose not to go down...
