I've found myself vaping more and more around my friends who still smoke and even around new people I meet. So far I've converted about 10 people away from analogs just by letting them try out my setup a few times while we hang out. I always wipe off the drip tip before handing it to them and I haven't found anyone who didn't like it better than analogs. I've found that vaping is a great conversation starter also. People are very curious about what this thing is i'm puffing on. Anyone else here do the same thing?
I know its not very sanitary but I don't care if I can get another person hooked like me.

I tried sharing my ecig with a few people but they ended up coughing because they weren't used to the vapor. I would normally clean off the drip tip and let them have a go at it. Thanks to the other posters here, I think I'm going to stop that now. Having a few spare drip tips in my pocket might not be a bad idea!

I get my supplies from a B&M store. They let you try out flavors before you buy, and they use disposable rubber covers/extensions, that slip over the mouth piece. They call them buddy tips. They gave me a handful to take with me, and I keep a few in my pocket when I'm out. I slip one on mine, for anyone who wants to try it. I usually carry a couple of full clearomizers with me, for variety. I change the tanks for them, and have them use the same buddy tip for each one, then throw it away when they've tried them all. I also pass out the store's business cards for them, so they don't mind keeping me supplied with the buddy tips. I get about 1/2 a dozen every time I go in for my weekly juice buys. I've gone through about 2 dozen in one month.

When I have friends over, I setup some egos with clean drip tips for them
It does get them to smoke less, got a few converted
Sometimes I carry around a clean extra drip tip, but I forget to often

I got one of those buddy tips free from a vendor [its gone now]
I'd love to pick up a couple dozen of those, but on the real CHEAP. (Seen them sold for 50 cents) but I want cheaper! Since they are just to get more people to vape, not for me.

I just love to watch their faces when the take that first long drag. It gives them that throat hit like they haven't had since they started smoking. Most agree also that the taste is way better than analogs. When I tell them they can get a kit with everything for less than $100 most of them are ready to start. My best friend used to cough until he almost passed out smoking analogs. Now he's been vaping for about 3 months and all the coughing is gone.

LOL, i remember going through a similar scenario with a friend of mine. it went a little something like this:

friend: "wow is that those electronic things i keep hearing about?"
me: "sure is. been off smokes for about a week now."
friend: "hey man can i try it out?"
me: "absolutely not. go buy one."

nuff said. :)

I know its not very sanitary . . .

It really doesn't matter, since PG is a germicide. If you're over about 35 and were born in a hospital, the first breaths you drew were well laced with PG, since it had been discovered in the 1940's that the stuff killed just about every airborne germ. (Since then, PG has been largely replaced by micropore filters, which work almost as well and don't leave a fine whitish film on everything.)

I've let probably 50-60 acquaintances take tokes off my gear. Some of them had colds or the flu and were quite contagious. Since I started vaping over two years ago, I've had one cold and one case of flu. In both cases, it had been weeks since anyone other than me had taken a toke from my equipment, so this practice hadn't been the source of the infection.

I always keep a few drip tips with me - I would hate to not be able to give someone the opportunity to try it out. If my cousin's husband hadn't let me try his right when I saw him using it, who knows if I'd be where I am today. It's the least I can do, in my opinion, to hopefully encourage someone else to guit.
