It reminds me of the original lie that satan told to eve "You will surely not die".

Do you think God will allow this? I don't think so, the end is going to happen before they are able to do this in humans. They are working on it, which means the end is near!

"Harvard scientists were surprised that they saw a dramatic reversal, not just a slowing down, of the ageing in mice. Now they believe they might be able to regenerate human organs Scientists claim to be a step closer to reversing the ageing process after rejuvenating worn out organs in elderly mice. The experimental treatment developed by researchers at Harvard Medical School turned weak and feeble old mice into healthy animals by regenerating their aged bodies.
The surprise recovery of the animals has raised hopes among scientists that it may be possible to achieve a similar feat in humans – or at least to slow down the ageing process.
An anti-ageing therapy could have a dramatic impact on public health by reducing the burden of age-related health problems, such as dementia, stroke and heart disease, and prolonging the quality of life for an increasingly aged population."

This is an excellent question Lisa. Yep, Satan will have a field day with this one as it's right up his age old original garden of Eve scenario of "You won't die, We're all Gods and we're gonna live forever" spiel... (lol)

For some reason I do believe God will allow it (for a season)... but by the same token the 'timing' of this seems relevant to Christ's imminent return.

Great post!

How do we come to the conclusion that science and medicine is always evil? Why does aging humans having a better quality of life mean the end is near?

Oh no! As an aging Human I'm all for it! :)

(IF!) or WHEN this Product becomes available for Human applications the costs will more than likely be exorbitant and only the wealthy elitists will be able to afford it.

You KNOW how Satan is SG... he 'uses' these Industries such as Science & Medicine (like he has everything else God has intended for good) and twists them into something evil. It's just his way. :)

YEP!!!!!!! :):)

People living forever after the sin? NOPE! Only those names written in the book of life will inherit eternal life. This is satan mimicking God, once again! I predict a major FAIL!!!!!! LOL!

Explain how this is evil. God created the church as well...is it used for evil? Yes it is and it has been since it's creation. What is the difference and why does it mean anything other than what it is?

The tower of Babel wasn't inherently evil either... God apparently didn't like the 'idea' of it... a one world (New World) Order or Government (outside of Him) and He destroyed it. I was just saying I thought God might allow it, but by the same token, He may not... Life (and how long we live) is after all His biggest domain. His feathers get somewhat ruffled when we play with His 'stuff' too much. We're working on building a new 'tower of Babel' as it is... that's all we need to do is start messing with Life expectancy...while I'm all for it on many levels (certainly the health improving qualities it may garner, if it does that) but... there's another level that warns me it's not our domain and caution should be exercised regarding it. :) Remember what God said in 1 Cor 3:19 (and I think it applies concerning this subject) - For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. If the 'powers that be' regarding this think themselves 'crafty' per it's use & applications, He'll show them some one-up-man ship they never anticipated.. :)

We can't just pick and choose. The same could be said of open heart surgery or any life saving medical procedure. If your arteries are clogged is it your time to go? This theology would say yes. Medical science has come along and said no..we can fix this and add many years to your life. Is this "messing" with life expectancy? Sure it is. What we need to remember is that Jesus came that we might have "life" and have it more "abundantly". By this way of thinking we are left with the "survival of the fittest". Why? Because science and medicine is inherently evil. I don't suppose anyone here is on medications or has regular doctor visits. After all is said and done..these things such as medications do change one's life expectancy and we couldn't want to have that on our resume.
Instead of giving Satan the credit for this...why not give God the glory for giving us the capability?

'Apples & Oranges' SG... I'm talking about God's domain of Life expectancy (Which is where I'm figuring they'll go with this), which has nothing to do with life saving medical advances or the like... (sheesh!)... talk about taking a subject and running with it....

They took the 'seeds' out of most of our foods too.... almost everything is a 'hybrid' nowadays. There are 'human hybrids' in the World also but that's 'another' subject. (lol) .... think God apprciates the 'improvement' we've made there also?

I'm certain Lisa and everyone else are all for life saving, quality of life and life enhancing medicines, procedures and technologies....

Beg to differ SG.... God expects 'us' to be very selective & choosy.

Not to the point of writing our own scripture to judge the actions and motives of others. All of this is based on an "assumption" that this is evil. The very same was said of the internet and most new things that come along. It is the same because the results are the same. It is tampering with life expectancy, that's what science and medicine does and always has done. One can argue against the methods but the end result can not be argued. God has given man science and medicine to use for the better good of mankind. Your whole argument is based upon in your own words..(where I see this going). This is a viewpoint and an assumption at absolute best.
