Was wondering if the ceramic parts of a atomizer could be replaced with Meerschaum. It is a type of stone used in pipes and such. Will not burn, is workable and able to be carved to shapes needed.
This is my first post hear but have been reading these posts for several months. I have made 4 nic sticks, and a variaty of my own mods that i tryed befor reading the moding stuff hear. My favorite so far is 4 aa nimh out of a Altodies box that i use with a rn4081 atomizer.
Now I have my sodering down am trying to rebuild or make atomizers myself. Some luck at first but last 2 burnt out on me after about 4 hours of vaping.
New project is making my Meerschaum pipes into vaping machines.

Welcome to the forum !

That's a nice project :)

And there are some great pipe mods from some time ago if you search for them.

My pipe had been sucessfully changed to a e-cig. Build the atomizer from the ground up also. Meerschaum worked great for the bowl and stabalizer for my atomizer. Used 1.2 inches of 80 Nichrome 48 gauge wire. tons of smoke working on Limiting my air flow a little because it is like smoking a ultra light because way to much air draws though to fast unless i really control and slow down my drags. And it has a nice pipe flavor to it from using one of the pipes i smoked out of for 5 years even though i spent 5 hours cleaning it.

Would love to see how you've rigged the coil ...

Have 2400 feet of wire that i got for fixing my atomizers.

Enough for 20,000 atomisers :)

That's about 1,000 years worth !

And you get a good connection just a few turns around a nail !

The advantage of a pipe - bigger scale :)

Now to breed some high-yield tomato plants with their natural insecticide ;)

Well i started out with 3 inches of wire so i had some extra to hold as i wraped it around the nail. Used pliers to really make it tight then clipped off the extra. Was just way to hard working with just the lenght i needed for the coil.

So you only have enough for 300 years
