Do you use up flavors you try but don't like?

Hi all. I'm new at this. Had another post, way down from a few days ago. I bought a V2 cigs kit and quickly learned it isn't going to work for me long term.

I'm waiting for my mini Novas, e Go c twists and juice to arrive. I'm just curious if people generally use up flavors even if you don't like them or find something else to do with them.

Thanks all. I've enjoyed reading through here. This is a great place!

First off, welcome!! Still newish here myself. I just got my nova yesterday, went with the bigger one, omg you are going to love it!

I will use up the flavors if they don't make me gag. Although I have run across one that there is no way I can finish. I only took three hits using a cartridge and the cartridge and bottle sit in a bag. Not sure what to do with it... Clove. Way too strong. I may try to find something that could use a drop of it to "spice" a flavor up. I dont know yet. I think it will sit for a long time till it gets tossed :)

Congrats on joining us!

Personally, if I don't like a flavor, I won't touch it again, and recently I have had that happen to me twice.
Alice in Vapeland's Crunkberry is too sweet for me...so my wife will vape it until it's gone.
Backwood's Brew - Applewood tastes like chemicals to me....it's in the fridge and will probably be there for a very long time. I may try it again in a month to see if the flavor has gotten any better.

My general rule: If it doesn't taste like chemicals I'll vape. It's not a solid rule though. Had some flavours that were great, but I could only handle a few puffs before I got tired of them; they were given to people who could appreciate them more than me.

Now I DIY and tend to mix on the lighter side, seem to prefer subtle flavours over IN YOUR FACE YOU MUST TASTE HOW AWESOME I AM! Haven't made one yet that I can't fill a tank with. Even some oddballs.

Some juices need to steep. Place in dark cupboard and every few days take cap off and allow fresh air in. Try it after a couple of weeks and you'll be amazed at the difference. This is especially true of juices that have a chemical/ perfume taste.

Its interesting to hear how everyone does things. Thank you.

So far I only have my v2 kit and I've used all the flavors in the sampler even if I didn't like them. The exception is the green tea mint. tastes like perfume to me. blech :)

I have given some juices to my friends just starting on vaping and sometimes they like them even though I don't. I don't tend to vape alot of a flavor I'm not real crazy about. It might be okay a flavor, but then I save it and vape the stuff I love and keep it for backup. Otherwise, if it's not a real horrible flavor, I will also take it to our vape meets and see if anyone else wants it.

I am currently doing this with a Vanilla Cupcake flavor that I just can't vape. I've tried to like it but ... eh. I have it sitting open right now and will try dripping tonight to see if it's better. I get the "cake" part but no vanilla.

When I first began I bought, in 2 batches, 50 samples. Out of those 50 I LOVED 10, kinda liked 20 and the other 20 were nasty. I put them aside and lo and behold all except one tasted great. A quicker way to steep:
Put in bottle hot tap water for 45 mins.
Place in cupboard.
Next a.m. open cap and allow air in- recap and place back in cupboard.
Next a.m. remove cap and leave in cupboard.
Next a.m. try vaping.
Two things that will either ruin juice or improve are heat and air so if the heat and air and done in a small amount the results can be good.

I am pretty new too, just over a month, but I have found 1) my tastes have already changed, and 2) mixing flavors sometimes helps and give more complexity to a vape.

When I started the tobacco flavors didn't cut it, so I went with Kona Creme and Peppermint. But as I go along, these flavors start to get un-enjoyable for more than a few hits, and tobacco flavors seem to be enjoyable, especially as an all day vape.

I think it was just the adjustment from real cigs to vaping that the tobacco didn't really taste the same so I didn't care for them. Now that I have wiped the memory of tobacco, I can enjoy the tobacco flavors vaping provides for their onw properties, not as comparison to my normal smoke.

My tastebuds change periodically too and I've been vaping quite awhile. I DIY'd a pina colada that I thought I would never get tired of and finally did after a couple months. I go through spells and have to go on a new search for a new flavor that satisfies me. And I require at least 2 flavors to switch back and forth on. One flavor gets boring to me.

I've also had flavors that were so horrible and after steeping it for a year, it was still so horrible I had to pour it down the sink. I had even tried adding flavors to make it better, etc., until I had a 60 ml bottle of horrible tasting stuff! lol.
