Here is a comprehensive (LONG) video tutorial to take you thru the tools and materials, where I get them, how I deploy them, then demonstrate a simple yet highly effective build from coil creation to hot leg removal to wicking to coil placement and air flow / build balance.

Guaranteed to have you rebuilding a dripper like a seasoned pro in no time :)

will this help me taste my juice besides the wicking material? Ive started with Aspire Premium kit but want to build and was given a magma and trident but they taste like ... compared to the nauti.mini. I may need to change my juice nic/pg/ratio but Im very discouraged as Im not seeing anything like people talk about.

A picture of your build with wick will help us troubleshoot your problem. Typically too much wick or improper placement of the coil in relation to the air source (or a combination of both) are the culprits:)

I need some advice about wicking. I have several rebuildables, but I don't use them as often as I'd like to, mainly because my builds are so inconsistent. I am not sure what I am doing wrong or differently from every build. I can get make a pretty decent coil, so I don't think thats the issue but I think it's my wicking. Currently, I have rayon and koh gen do at my disposal and 26-29 gauge kanthal wire. My typical build is about 8-10 wraps of whatever kanthal I feel like using (usually 27) and I sometimes use microcoils, and other times I let the coils have a slight gap between each wrap. I make sure the wick is snug but not tight inside the coil. I've experimented with less wick and more wick and I can't find the sweet spot. I've tried fluffing up my wicks and pushing the wicks down to the decks as well as leaving them fluffed and not pushed down. I prime them well. My problem most of the time is tight, dry, harsh, or wispy hits. I feel like it is not wicking properly as I rarely get problems with flooding or gurgling, usually always just dryish hits that have a slight burnt taste sometimes. I'll try to post a pic of my build once I get down to the tank but I dunno what I'm doing wrong. My main RBA's right now is the Lemo Drop, Erlkonigin mini, and some Kayfun minis (which for some reason, I rarely have trouble with).

The first thing that pops into my mind is coil to air source relationship from a height, lateral and distance to air perspective.

I don't have any experience with the attys you mention but in drippers, that is often the problem. That and hot legs. Pix will certainly be of assistance :). Thanks for asking :)
