DOA atomizer?

Well I just got my JOYE 510 Kit on Wednesday.

After lunch today a co-worker wanted to try it out, so I pulled out my extra battery, put an UNUSED atty on and a prefilled Marlboro cart.

He got like 2 puffs on it then.......nothing.

I tried disassembling and blowing it out through the thread end, but no dice.

Has anyone had DOA atties right out of the box or experience similar?

Is there anything I can do to try and revive it?

Looks like I need to place an order for more atties then...

try using the other batt.there may not have been much of a charge on it.

Battery was at a full charge ( i had just pulled it from my PCC) we also swapped batteries to take that out of the equation so it was definitely the atomizer.

I am just curious if there is a way to revive it or is it somewhat common to have an atomizer arrive DOA.

I once placed a order for 10 attys ones ( 801s ) and when i get them, i normally put them in my storage bin until i need them. Well about 2 weeks or so when i needed to grab a new one, It didnt work! I tried another and another!

About 4 out of the batch of 10 were bad and since it was about 2-3 weeks since i got them, i couldnt return them! even though they were brand new!

I have since learned that whenever i order new attys ( one or even 20 ) i check each one, I pop it on, give it just a quick test and if it fires up, i store it until i need it. That way if there is one that doesnt fire up, it goes back and i get a replacement.

Best idea is to contact your supplier directly. It does happen from time to time that you end up with a dead new one. Very frustrating and as maf2k8 says it is worth checking them as soon as they arrive.

Thanks for the replies...I have contacted my supplier. It IS good to know that it does happen from time to time and is not from abuse or user error

I need to stock up on more atomizers anyway, so hopefully they will replace it with my next order.

Yeah, you are in no way alone. I'm sure your supplier will be understanding as it's not an uncommon situation. Good luck with it and let us know how it turns out.

Supplier walked me through testing again, and determined it was DOA. They are sending a new one out to me for replacement ASAP.

Did you blow out the primer? Kinda mean to hand someone a 'fresh' atty and tell 'em to take a rip. hehehe

Oh yes I did clean it out and dripped a drop on the atty to prime it..i am not THAT mean
