Started vaping just over 6 months ago, and went smoke-free over 5. Had a 36 year 2PAD of Swisher Sweet Cherry cigar habit that I couldn't kick until vaping!
Just over 2 months ago I moved away from the border desert I had been in for over 2 years, into San Antonio. I couldn't believe I was getting sick as bad as I was.. thought it was getting all the kiddie germs since I have young children. Turns out it's allergies! Ugh!!
I let this last one go too far, turned into bronchitis. Been pushing off that visit to get it checked, as I haven't had to have a doctor visit in almost 2.5 years.. Finally went today.
I was straight up with him. Yep, I was a 36 year smoker but stopped and now use e-cigarettes.. He didn't blink an eye.. Said "That's Great! But switching areas and that long time habit was costing you with all that junk left in your lungs." He also suggested that the only reason I was able to hold out so long with this bronchial attack was because I was vaping and it might have helped keep the lungs a bit clearer.
Wow! I think I'll keep this doctor!
