Does any one here use a Joye 510-T with a Ego battery? If so...

I'm just wondering if anyone else is using the system I'm currently working with which is a 510-T with LR atty and a Ego battery? And if so how do you like it? Also were there any problems in the beginning that you have worked out. I started with the 510-T and regular 510-T atty and either a 510 manual battery or a 510-T automatic battery...but found that I had to suck/pull rather hard to get a good hit. Then I read about the 510-T LR atty would give a better hit and got those it of course the LR atty killed the automatic battery because it need more power so I purchase a Ego battery. And it does give a better hit, flavor might not come through as strong as it does using the regular 510-T atty or batteries. So if you do use this system or combined system or have what are your experiences and what have you done to make it better or moved onto? I want the best vaping & flavor experience I can get.

I've used/owned the ego-t with the LR and SR atty's and neither one did it for me. I just don't think those tanks are worth the trouble. The batteries are great though, so no worries there.

Personally, you'd probably be happier trying one of the popular types of cartomizers out there. You can get low resistance, see through, multiple coils, etc. Just stick to ones that everyone agrees are solid. Boge makes good LR ones (2.0 ohm), and the smoktech dual coil ones are solid too (in various resistances for different heat levels). They're mess free, essentially, work well, cheap, and disposable (but you can re-fill them as much as you like until you think they're going down hill).

/Not to knock the tanks, per se, and that really didn't answer your question directly, but I find a good 510 cartomizer to be vastly superior to the ego-tank, and it'll fit nice and neatly on your battery, with no worries about leaks and such (except the clear versions are delicate, so keep that in mind).

Edit: Just make sure you don't get ones below 2.0 ohms, or you'll run down your battery super fast. I'd start with the Boge 2.0 LR cartomizer, as you're using a shorter battery, and probably prefer it to be compact.

A lot of people swear by the cartos, but I prefer a tank... To me, cartos are great when they're full, but you have to top them up repeatedly to keep them full... If I'm going to that trouble, I might as well drip.

The tanks (all of them I've tried), while still not stacking up to dripping, are the next best thing... The 510 works well, but I find I get a better vape in general with eGo-T attys and tanks. People complain of leaking, and this CAN be a problem but I haven't experienced it to the point that it drove me away...

To keep them from leaking, you'll want to get some of the rubber/silicon caps (that get pierced by the spike). They tend to hug a bit better to that spike cutting down the leaks.

Also, it seems some attys leak worse than others. I haven't really had a problem with too many, but for some it's an issue. It depends on the precise wick placement. If it's too low, you'll get dry hits, if it's too high you'll get leaks.

The good news is that they'll mate right up to your battery, so you're only out $15 or so for an atty, some tanks, and some of those rubber caps to give it a try. It's a better vape in general, and it holds lots more juice. If you like the 510-t, I'd at least give them a try...

Honestly I don't see why people have problems with the tanks. I have had mine for a few weeks and really no issues at all. The batteries last all day and a tank last 4 hours for me. The key to not having leaks is to blow the atty out each time you put a new tank in. I have not had any leaks at all. Also don't draw on it too hard. just a nice steady draw and you will be fine. Try not to power vape where it gets really hot. That has caused just a bit of juice to get in the mouth piece and that only happened once. I get plenty of vapor with both regular and the LR attys. I can't tell the difference between the two and I haven't had any juice yet that didnt give me more than enough vapor and throat hit. As long as it's used properly you should have no problems with it.

Honestly I don't see why people have problems with the tanks.

The main problem is usually the type of juice. Too thin and it might leak. Too thick, and it won't wick. They really need a certain happy medium, which is why they work great for some people, and not others. Cartos can have trouble with thick juices too, though.

I'm glad you're enjoying your setup though :)

I'm a dripper that just bought a LR 510-T. I've been using it and a tank cartridge on a Riva batt for a few days. I have to say I'm a fan so far. Yes, the flavor is a little muted, but I find that my main liquid loses flavor on a non-tank LR atty as well. I haven't had the two cartridges I've opened leak yet.

I'm really liking the convenience. I did pull off the T atty last night and drip for a bit in front of the TV, but I've been using the tank almost exclusively since receiving it.

As for wicking..if I chain vape several hits in a row, sometimes I need to set it down for a minute or two. I have also dripped a drop or two directly into the metal spout in the atty maybe 3 times now when I didn't have the patience to set it down.

I keep my PV laying on its side or standing up on the cartridge end just in case of leakage ( which has not happened ), so I can't say what would happen if I were to stand it battery end down for a long length of time.

i like the 510-t because i've never had one leak. the ego-t seems to leak when it's almost emty but holds much more. the 510-t also fits my darwin and my glv

I believe it has to do with the liquid level dropping to the point that the spike breaks the surface tension... I'm working on testing this theory as we speak. They never leak for me before they get low, and for some reason some attys are more prone to leaking than others... Those that don't leak give the occasional dry hit, so that's why I'm thinking the wick positioning has lots to do with it, as stated above...

I'm really happy with the eGo tanks, both A and B, on my ProVari... I'm not sure why they get such a bad rep either...
