Hi, I'm new to modding I got everything dry fitted ready to go but didn't know what size to cut the hole for the screen also what tool is best to use on the dremel to cut and round the edges ? Any help is very much appreciated
I use a 1/4" drill bit and the length is 3/4" long. Drill each end on one in the middle and use the dremel to open it up and finish it out with a small file. So a 1/4" wide and 3/4" long
The dimensions are in the Evolv DNA20D PDF.
The overall size of the glass part of the screen is 26.5mm(L) X 8mm(W) X 1.3mm(H) and the actual lit up part of the display is 17.2mm X 3.5mm.
I like to cut my display hole at 4.5mm X 18mm (0.18" X 0.7") using a dremel to do most of the work and then needle files to tidy up the hole.
I always cut small and widen with files because a wandering or misaligned drill/ dremel will destroy a nice case.
